Hi! I'm looking to book soon and have been thinking of Mon. Nov. 12th for 3 nights at the Cheyenne :goodvibes . I am wondering if DLPR is already all decked out for Christmas by then? Is it very nice, I hope so! We loved our last trip to WDW when we arrived the 27th Nov. and wonder what we can expect from DLRP? I am really looking forward to Fantalusion! The pictures look lovely :).

Thanks for any advice!

The Christmas season at the resort starts on the 10th November, so will be in full swing by mid November. :)

Well I for one can't wait to meet Christmas Nutcase-Father :rotfl: I was hoping that the Enchanted Fairytale Ceremony would still be on this year and I'm looking forward to seeing it merged with the Candleabration, should be really good. Nice to hear that the Character Express will have a Christmas makeover, bit disappointed that the Winnie the Pooh show won't be on but we will get to see Mickey's Winter Wonderland and Fantillusion, I find it strange that they've only got Fantillusion parade running on weekends, I always thought it was an integral part of the Christmas celebrations, so if anyone's planning on seeing it, remember weekends only in November, snow on Main Street and seems that the princess Christmas decorations are going up too, Belle's village in Fantasyland, I know one little girl at least who's going to love that, but no mention of the Christmas Village in Frontierland that everyone's talkingabout

Thanks Jill!

I knew I'd made a great decision booking again, as if there was any doubt :lmao:

Well our itinerary is well under way....
We arrive on Sun 6th Jan, so we'll be making sure we see all these special christmasy bits before they vanish. :thumbsup2

It does look good doesn't it ? :santa:
Raci I saw on your thread that you've booked, excellent news :thumbsup2

The Christmas season is the best :thumbsup2 I want to go :rotfl:

Wow!

Those pics are perfect!
Is that really what main street and the castle will look like its going to be really, really special!

Excitement is growing ever bigger, I can see some sleepless nights coming up :rolleyes1 I did the same in July 06 when I booked 8 months in advance. this time only 3 1/2 months to wait so I stand no chance at sleeping :rotfl2:

Oh Wow Jill, that's brilliant, thank you :goodvibes ! It does look beautiful doesn't it! I've seen somewhere that they have the lights of winter canopy in the studios like they do in Epcot, is that correct? It's so pretty! I haven't booked yet as I've read on DLRP Magic that the Dragon is going into refurbishment on the 12th and I'm afraid now that the castle will be blocked off, what do you think :scratchin ? Otherwise if it's just the dragon then I can handle that :). I mean it's not like Pirates or Phantom Manor is it. Or is it?. I gotta say, it's a blast being a newbie to a park, because I've been glued to the Dis for years learning all I can about WDW but Disneyland Paris is just a big mystery right now:goodvibes .

Oh no, now it seams official no Fantillusion during the week until the 1st December, only on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

We wanted to visit from Monday to Thursday in November. But that would mean no Fantillusion, no POTC, no Dragon, no pool at the SL (all closed for two weeks). And opening times only until 18:00!

I expected something like that when I red that the park is only open until 18:00 in November because they can't do "The once upon a Dream Parade", "Candlebration" "Christmas Tree Illumination" and "Fantillusion" between 16:00 and 18:00. This can only work if the park will be open longer.

And I think that the park will be open from 1st December during the week at least until 19:00 or even 20:00.

This is the first time that I don’t know what to do. :confused3 :sad2:

Oh thats a shame about Fantillusion, I was hoping to see that this time. We're going from tues to fri 20th-23rd so Fantillusion will only be on the friday but our flight is around 9pm but we'll have to leave at about 6pm to get to the airport. Never mind, it's an excuse to go again another year!!

The Lights of Winter came down for the last time after Christmas 2004. Since then we've had the Princess Chandeliers, which these year will be combined with the 15th banners which are already on the posts - see the second picture that Jill posted. :cloud9:

I'm sure that the Dragon's refurbishment will not affect the castle itself. I presume they will just block off the stairs down from the inside,, and the little door under the side of the castle - neither of which are particularly obvious. :)

 How did we miss those stairs! I never even saw another entrance to the dragon. We went down the path at the side of the castle and then under the rock.
Where abouts in the castle are the stairs? We will definatly have a look for them in Jan :goodvibes

If you're walking into the Castle from Main St and Central Plaza, the stairs are on the left - either in or just past the Merlin L'Echanteur shop, I think. Take care though - it's dark!

So before you get to the stairs up to the gallery (coming in from Main Street)?
We went into the glass shop is that the Merlin shop?

Yes and yes - at least I think so. I'm not very good on details! I think the stairs down are before the stairs up, and the shop on the right is the one that sells Christmas decorations, so Merlin L'Enchanteur must be the glass shop.

Also Jill, regarding your post, that translation is too funny :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

I had meant to post that I am also looking forward to seeing "Winnie the Bear cub and its friends"

Are these the lamps that replaced the Lights of Winter  ?

Who's Dingo? hehe :lmao: !
