Mid-May crowds?

Hello, I am planning to visit the Disneyland/CA the May 16-17 of this year and wondering if anyone has any opinions about the crowds that time of year.

We've gone mid May 2 years in a row. It's not dead (Is DL ever really dead?) but it's not bad at all!

As long it is not Friday or Sunday, crowds should be fairly light. I was there last mid-May on a Saturday and was quite surprised. Weekdays will have reduced hours and entertianment.

We'll be in CA from May 1-8, but we only have 1 day to get to DL ... we normally choose Wednesdays, because they are pretty light - ESPECIALLY in May & September post-Labor Day. But, for the first time, we've decided to go on a Friday so we can get 4-5 extra hours of the park being open - and so our 3-year old won't miss fireworks. Great weather and fewer/shorter lines make the May/September the times we visit just so much better.
