My dd and I will be in WDW from June 18-26. We have always gone with PS's in hand. But, I thought that maybe this time we could wing it a bit and not be so 'tied down' to meals. More counter service meals and such.

Have any of you gone at this time of year and eaten pretty well without PS's? We might make one for Chef Mickey's but that's about it. Any thoughts?

I havent gone that time with no PS, but I did go recently(12/3-6) with not 1 PS made. Even though I only did a few sit down meals, I was able to eat very well and get in at the places I wanted when I wanted.
I think if you dont have any place where you really have to eat at, and you can be flexible with your times, it can be done.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.

If you take it easy and time your visits to restaurants right and if you just hang out and sit at a bar or two, it is great to go without PS's. I have done it once and I really did nto have a had time getting a table anywhere. June is very crowded or at least it was last year. When you eat may be the biggest thing here.

We went in June 2004. We wished we made more PS. We had to wait 1 -2 hours for a table. It was stressful. We were all hungry and waiting for a table was not fun. I felt like we were waisting time.

We have been many times in June and for the most part don't have trouble getting a table. There are a couple of exceptions, Prime Time Cafe and LeCellier. Those places are typically crowded and I would recommend PS if you intend on eating there.

We've never done Calif Grill or Chef Mickeys so I can't comment on those.

Most of the other restaurants we've eaten either early or late, both for lunch and dinner and haven't had too much trouble getting a seat. It is kind of nice not having PS for too many meals as you never know what kind of mood you'll be in.

I would suggest making PS for the restaurants you don't want to miss and wing the rest. You might end up trying a new place by necessity and really enjoy it.

I would definitely recommend it. We did not have them last year, and never again. Did not get to go to some of our faves. As you can see by my counter will be back and I already have a list going!!

Definitely recommend Fantistmic dinner package!
