Anyone ever been mid December before? Wondering what the weather and crowds were like.

We are supposed to be going 10/28-11/5, but I might be getting a promotion at work, in which case we could not go away next month. We have been Halloween before and love it. As long as it is ok with my job, I would like to push it back to mid December.

How does this compare to halloween? Thanks

In 2004 we went from December 8 to December 15. It was great. I didn't rain, but it was COLD. I'm from PA and thought cold in WDW would be a breeze. Wrong. At Epcot during opening it was so cold we were miserable.
Once it got into the afternoon it wasn't bad, but after dark it was cold again.
It's a beautiful time of year to go. The crowds were pretty low except on the weekends.

We're going back in December 2007. I would absolutely love it if my husband would surprise us with a trip this December, but that won't happen.

In 2005 we went at the beginning of October. It was hot and very humid. It rained a few days on and off. It was hot. I can't complain. I was at WDW for MNSSHP, but I prefer that second week of December. It was more crowded in October, too.

December is a great time for a trip to WDW! DH and I are going on 12/9 for our third December trip. One year it was warm bordering on hot (2001), in 2003 it was chilly bordering on cold (a see your breath scenario). The crowds in 2001 were negligible owing in large part to the tremendous drop in tourism following 9/11. In 2003 we arrived on 12/5 crowds were light and picked up as we got closer to our 12/16 check-out date. It was never terrible, though. This year we'll be there from 12/9-12/16. I'm expecting light to moderate crowds and great weather. I can't wait!!!! Hope to see you there and congratulations on your promotion!
