Mid-day Monorail downtime

We are staying in BVT for the first 10 days of May and received a letter from WDW on Monday stating that the resort/express monorails may be down from during the afternoon hours (to accommodate construction of the new GF DVC).

I know they did this back in March when my sister was there, but all sources I've looked up state that work "was expected to be completed by the end of March".

I realize the letter i got should be a hint that it actually isn't done...but does anyone have any more info on this?

Others that are staying at the MK resorts have reported getting the same letter. At the same time though, there have been some who are staying there and haven't received a letter.
The monorail went back to normal in mid/late March. Now, it would seem that they need unrestricted use of the area...so don't want the monorail running through it. And this will happen in May. I believe someone said that they were told that the monorail would be running between the CR and TTC though. Disney will put more boats into service as well as buses.

During the March shutdowns, they also had many, many buses running to and from the monorail resorts to help ease the loss of the monorail. Having the monorails down for much of the afternoon was annoying, but not nearly an impossible situation. Just plan for extra time to get to and from where you are planning to go. And besides a bad transportation day at Disney is better than rush hour traffic back home.
