Mid-August Crowds -- Are weekends really better?

A popular site lists crowd levels over the weekends in mid-August, particularly on Friday and Sunday at DL, lower than weekdays. I could be wrong because traditionally I've avoided weekends, but it seems to me weekends are usually more crowded than weekdays?

What site is that? That doesn't make much sense to me. Are the weekdays in question Aug 22-25? Those look to be the first days Ca Select APs can get back into the parks after the summer block out days. They will definitely be busy days but I don't know about busier than the weekend. The weekend is blocked out for that level of pass.

Everything I have seen shows weekends as busier than weekdays. We are hoping to visit California in June and I am trying to work it out so Tuesday - Thursday will be our Disney days.
