I dunno about microwaves but here's a popcorn popper for the stove or grill. I like that it doesn't use oil-too messy and too many calories. This one you can use on your grill or stove then just spray some butter flavored Pam on it.

if you have a propane camp grill of some sort, you can buy the disposable stove top popcorn packs at the grocery store. not every store is gonna have them, but i have bought them at wal-mart and kroger. or you could always just make friends with a nice RV family and use theirs. everyone is always friendly around there, so I'm sure no one would mind. no sense in adding a microwave to your packing.

We bring Jiffy Pop with us all the time when we camp!!! over the fire or over the mini gas grill....the kids love it and it is fun as heck to make. super salty though - but watching dad's blood pressure go up as we are eating it is half the fun.

Oh, and OP, there is no common microwave at the fort that i know of. is there one back at the coffee station in the trading post?!?!? someone here's gotta know that.
