Microwave Popcorn

This will be our first time staying at a DVC property and I wasn't sure if there are any rules against microwaving popcorn in the room. This might sound like a weird question, but we stayed at a hotel this summer that had a $250 cleaning charge if you microwaved popcorn in your hotel room microwave (didn't specify burning the popcorn, just cooking it in the first place). As luggage space is at a premium, I don't want to bring something we won't be able to eat.

You can microwave popcorn, in fact they sell packs in the resort stores, and food courts.
