Are you at work attempting to connect to an Exchange Server or working remotely connecting to a corporate Exchange server? If so your domain password may have expired between your last login and now. If you log out of Windows and log back in you will be prompted for a new password. If you aren't at work on a domain whatever server you are attaching to may have changed a policy (such as forcing a secure connection as opposed to in the clear).

It happens to me a couple of times per month using Outlook 2003 and AT&T email. Mine resolves itself as soon as I log into my mailbox at www.att.yahoo.com. Once I log in with my existing password, Outlook starts receiving that email again. ATT says it's a problem with Outlook, but the same thing is now happening periodically on my iPhone !
