micro fiber sofa cleaning ?

Someone I know had marker on their microfiber couch and they used Goo Gone Extreme and said it worked.

Can you take the covers off the cushions and wash them in the washing macine?? Just wondering because I also have a microfiber sofa and totally messed it up trying to clean something off it.

YES!! I did this! Our sofa is kind of spice colored so it doesn't show a lot of dirt but my son got some drops of oily dressing on it I unzipped them and tossed them all in the washer and used Tide detergent. I let them air dry though--they came out beautifully! They look brand new--and no oil spots, no water spots. I was relieved! Oh--I also remembered that I put some Dawn detergent on the oily spots since it "takes grease out of the way". Good luck!
