My DS6 has Toontown on his list, with a tour of Mickey'sand Minnie's house included! How long should I plan for this (first week in December, going to MK on a Thursday). We can do the Barnstormer when Toonrtown opens, but I was hoping it would be realistic to return later in the day to go through the houses (no Hall of Fame or Judges Tent). Has anyone done this early afternoon, are the crowds terrible? Advice please! Also, I know Toontown opens later than the rest of MK; does it close earlier too?

Mickey and Minnie's houses are just a fairly quick walk through, unless you are going to wait to meet them. Then it will take longer, but I think during the 1st week of December the crowds are low you could probably go through in the am without much of a wait. Generally, the wait in the afternoon is always more crowded so I would suggest to get it done with early or at the end of the day.

I think you should get through those parts of Toontown pretty quickly in the morning time, especially at the timeof year you are going. My kids are 6 and 4. We have tended to linger in Toontown longer on past trips. We've always found surprisingly short lines in the Hall of Fame, and gotten some great pictures.
