Thinking about doing this, is it worth it, for us it would be around $200, wondering it its really worth it? lots of opinion please!

thanx

I am looking for input on this too. I have an early morning flight, and it would be a late night too. Just me, so I am sitting at about $54 .. not sure it's worth it. It's only going on one night during my trip.

Based on the other threads where this question has been posed, you're going to get a 50% of the people saying it's worth it, 40% it's worth it to try once, and 10% that think it's not worth it. It all depends on your tastes or experience. We're going to try it for the first time this year, because we always have the mindset of trying something once; twice to make sure we don't like it. :)

I have been three or times and I love it. My favorite part is when it snows on Main Street and the parade. It is wonderful!:) It really gets you into the holiday season. It is also one of those special events that you can do once in a while but don't have to do it every year.

I went once (in my 20's with friends) and thought it was ok. The thing I think makes it worth it is if you don't buy the tickets you get kicked out of the park early. (Unless I don't remember correctly)

We liked it in 2005, okay in 2006, not doing it again now in 2010. Compared to MNSSHP its way overpriced. Really you get fake snow, hot coco, a cookie and it used to be several different shows to see. Its been growing crowds and less entertainment each year so we stopped going.

If you have never gone and have the money to spend feel free to check it out. If you are on the fence you can skip it and not miss a thing.

We went in 2007 and 2008 and absolutely loved it and we're going again this year.

I am a Christmas fanatic, so it is well worth it for me to see the Holiday Wishes, parade, and the sights/sounds of Christmas at MK. We don't travel late enough in the month to see those things for "free" (after a certain date, they do the Holiday Wishes and parade for all guests, not just the party guests).

We don't use the party for extra ride time, although we will go on rides if the lines are short. We use it to hang out, watch the shows (even though they got rid of my favorite one), parade, fireworks, and just take it all in. That is well worth the price of admission, imo.

We are not doing it because we have 2 young children (3 & 5) and there is no way they would be able to stay happy past 9PM! Over $200 just for a couple hours is not worth it. Will we try it in the future? I would like to!

As a social worker I have trained myself to rationalize most anything.

Consider this when trying to figure out if it's worth the money:

at an average cost of $64 per person if you enter at 4pm and stay until 12 am, you would be paying $8.00 per hour.

Would you jump at the opportunity to have a plumber, manicurist, massage, dentist, private cook for $8.00 an hour!!!???!!

If you stay for 4 hours you'd be at $16 an hour, still quite possibly a bargain.

Only you know the particulars for your family, but the key to expense is rationalization, I think I learned that from Sally Struthers............

Went once with DH, who hated it. Too many people, no opportunity to see or do anything. We left early, and even had trouble getting onto the monorail to get away from it. Never again!

We go every year and absolutely love it!! For us it would definitely be worth it. We use that day as a day to do other stuff until 4 then we go in and have a blast!

Since I am such a WDW nut I try each Party at least once. That being said the Mickeys not so scary was my #1 choice. as much as I like Christmas it just needs more thrown in there. To me just a let down from Halloween party.:thumbsup2

Our family loved it! I wouldn't miss it...Lots of personal character interaction for the kids!

My family went for the first time this past December and we really liked it but we like all the parties we have been to (pirate and princess and MNSSHP two times).

After going we decided we really liked Halloween better, just seems like there is more to the parties, probably the trick or treating and the decorations are more fun.

However, the Christmas party was great...the parade, the snow, the fireworks, the characters in holiday gear but my kids will talk about the hot chocolate and cookies :)

I say, for us, the parties are always worth it, especially if we can work them in on the day we get there b/c it's like adding another park day to our trip!

I believe it's the best parade in the park. The atmosphere just brings you into Xmas . The only negative is if you have really young kids they could sleep through it all.

True, they're free, but you're paying higher prices for everything else! :goodvibes

I like the rationalization thing! ;)

I know my daughter really wants to do the Halloween but unfortunately we cannot go at this time of the yr since school is on. The halloween seems like a blast that's why I was looking into the Christmas one.

We are attending our first MVMCP on Nov. 16th. We are WDW vets but usually visit in June. So this year is our chance to visit in Nov. for cooler temps. We have never been to any special ticket event at WDW. So we are super excited. We are not visiting any other park that day. We are hanging out at POP until party time(arriving at 4 staying until midnight) We have a 10 yr old DS
