Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

I want to know. Will be there Dec. 8th.

Also, can you use Disney Dollars in DL or is that just at WDW?

Terri

No, but they have the parade, fireworks, "snow" etc included in regular admission. I have enjoyed DL at Christmas very much.

Like "year2late" said they do not have a Christmas party, but all the Christmas activities go on throughout the day & you do not have to buy special ticket like @ MVMCP.

They have the Christmas Fireworks, Christmas Parade, Carolers on Main Street, Characters in Festive attire, Cookie decorating(extra cost), Minnie Christmas show w/ snow(cute), Small World is transformed to a Holiday theme, Haunted Mansion is transfored to "the Nightmare Before Christmas, and the whole park is decorated throughout the day.

TEK224- Yes you can use Disney Dollars at Disneyland.

Hope this helps!

Thanks mamakate! So do they do this everyday for a certain amount of time or is it just a couple of times?

cinmell - Everything runs everyday, starting on Thanksgiving or the day after Thanksgiving.

On days when the park is open late, the Christmas parade will run twice a day (Usually Friday, Saturday & Sundays).

The Fireworks may only be on Fridays & Saturdays during the first part of December so you might want to check disneyland.com before you leave.

The "Minnie Christmas show" & Carolers runs frequently throughout the day.

The cookie decorating runs from opening until dark. They have locations at the Fire Station on Mainstreet & the other is in New Orleans Square.

My family loves the Haunted Mansion decorated as "Nightmare Before Christmas", but if your family hasn't seen the movie, I recommend watching it before you go. The ride will make more sense and be more enjoyable if you do.

Also, make sure you see the "Small World" ride at night. It's decorated with thousands of Christmas lights and is beautifual at night.

Hope you have fun and we will be there too. We have AP's and go frequently during the Holidays!

Thank you for all of the information Mamakate! It sounds great. We are going (hopefully) to be visiting relatives in CA in the fall and we thought maybe we'd wait to Nov/Dec so we would be able to see Disneyland at Christmas time. Thank you for your help, I appreciate it!

Also, even if you do not stay at the Grand Californian Hotel, you might want to pop inside. They had Santa, beautiful decorations, and a fabulous tree.

No MVMCP but then again, you don't need it. Pretty much everything (but free cookies and hot chocolate and the picture) runs daily and is included in the price of your admission (not the extra $35+ like for MVMCP)

I am not a "crowd person" and the MVMCP at wdw was fairly miserable for me both times. The crowds were huge, the lines were long....we left without or pictures or hot chocolate.

I enjoy Christmas at DL (versus MVMCP) much more.

Don't miss it! It is truly magical--all except for Christmas week--the park usually closes late morning during this week due to overcrowding, so come before then and you will be swept away by the magic, not the thundering herds!
