Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

Trying to decide if I wnt to go or not. The only way I'v ever experienced this special event was working it (as a cast member in 2003) and I was curious if it's worth spending the extra money to go. I know there's the Christmas parade, characters in christmas outfits, and the snow on main street....is there anything else there worth doing that can't be done on a normal day in the parks? I would love to go but I've done the park over 200+ times and can get in free any other day (family CM) so I was wondering if it's worth spending the money to experience?

Well maybe not for you if you can get in free any other day! You can catch the holiday parade when it debuts at the park for everyone.

We found MVMCP really fun. For us, the crowds are a little less and the Christmas cheer is fun. It works great for vacationers to get a special park time and have a lower admittance fee than a full park day would cost us. We like spending time at our resort the day of the party resting up for the party!

Well I don't live in FL anymore. I still only get to go down once a year now. When I go my family member saves us money by helping my and my boyfriend get in. I would like to take pictures with the characters in the christmas wear, see the snow, watch wishes (isn't it a special christmas version?), and watch the christmas parade at night but I wanted to make sure it was well worth the money. A smaller crowd would also be a plus. I know alot of people on this forum go so I was kind of looking for an overview and maybe a rating (on a scale of 1 to 10) how they enjoyed compared to just being at the MK during Christmas time.

We went for the first time to MVMCP last year. We loved it. Park attendance is limited so there is almost no wait for rides. We rode splash mountain 3 times in a row without getting off. There is a christmas version of the fireworks show and 2 showings for the christmas parade. Usually the parades are so busy we can't get anywhere near the front, but we watched the later version of the christmas parade and walked right up to the rope 5 min. before the start of the parade. Plus the is virtually no lines to see the characters. Many we walked right up to with no waiting. Plus is there anything more magical than snow on Main Sreet!

Hubby and I are both CM's (as well as my sister in law)... We ALWAYS go to MNSSHP and MVMCP. It doesn't matter that we can get in the parks free any other day, it doesn't matter that I have worked for the company 11 years and hubby has been there for 7 years. We LOVE the events. The atmosphere is totally different, the parades and fireworks are really cool, the special shows and little touches are nice. Sure we could go to the park and ride the rides anytime, but at the parties there is an ambiance that doesn't exist, in my opinion, during the day.

My suggestion is go, have a good time and don't think that you spent money for it...just enjoy it.
