Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party Tickets 2015

So I saw that tickets are already available for purchase for both this and the NSSHP already, is this the earliest they've gone on sale? Just seems really early.

Anyway, my reason for creating the topic, is we're planning on going to the Christmas Party on Dec 15th. How soon do tickets sell out for these? is it something where it could sell out in a week or do they usually not sell out til way way closer to the date based on past years? I could order them now but the tickets are not transferable/refundable so I'd like to get a little closer just in case.

Also while we're here, who are some of the more fun rare characters to see during this event and anything else we should know since this will be our first ever Mickey Christmas Party.
