I posted somewhere that my mom and I will be there on the 4th, but apparently not on this thread yet. Just wanted everyone to know. We can't wait! It's my first December trip.
Originally posted by Scottwdw I think we should all go to the Pirates of the Carribean after the parade and do a group ride! We can all sing 'Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a Pirate's life for me!!!'
How's this sound.....we all watch the first parade, check out the fireworks from Dan Murphy's great spot (which, btw is on the way to Pirates) and then a group ride on POTC
Btw.......From the sign up thread that I have going on the DIS Meets board, we have 33 folks signed up for the meet
Originally posted by skporter Will they be doing Wishes at 6 and then different fireworks later, or do they do special Christmas fireworks, or will they do Wishes again?
LOL, don't credit me with the great spot and then have it not be a good spot, LOL. And no, Scott, shoulders are high, but weak.
The 'good spot', referred to above as 'Dan Murphy's great spot', is right in front of the LTT area. You can (could) see the Fantasy in the Sky fireworks great from there (though losing the perspective of the Castle as a foreground object, and no Tink, (or Goofy Santa). HOWEVER, FITS is no longer, replaced by Wishes. I have read, from CM Pyro (a CM pyrotechnician here on the DIS) that THE best place for Wishes is the Hub area, and Main Street. So, it might behove us (maybe me) to run the 'good spot' idea by Pyro and get his opinion on the MVMCP fireworks shows (both of them). How does that sound??
We'll be getting in from a cruise on Thursday, hopefully we'll be rested enough to enjoy this that evening! We'll drop DS (age 20) off at DisneyQuest, then it's DH, DD (age 11) and myself for the MVMCP. I've posted to the other board about joining y'all for dinner. I think it's a great idea to hang out with you more experienced DISers, I'm sure you'll know where the best spots are to see everything and not miss too much of anything!
I love the Pirate idea!!! Watching Survivor has really gotten me into the mood! Arrrgghh, maties!
Yes, we will be there on the 4th with 2 very close friends of ours. They have never been down there at Christmas time so this is a whole new side of WDW for them. We are all very excited about it. We will be haveing dinner that day at Crystal Palace at 4:00, so we'll already be in the park.
Unfortunately, I don't believe that there is going to be anymore FITS. We will be doing a Wishes show with the perimeter sites for MVMCP. So the best veiwing spot will be the hub area, close to either Casey's or the ice cream shop.
Wow, I haven't checked this thread for a while and you've all been busy !!!
Thanks for the advise PyroT !!! (btw...I need to PM you about my DH who is also a Pyro here in the Virgin Islands).
Looks like we'll need to devise a plan to get to the hub after the parade or maybe change the meeting spot from Liberty Square to closer to the hub??
Anyway.....wanted to let everyone who is having dinner with the group at CP that the time for the PS has changed to 4:20. We will meet in front of the CP between 4:00 and 4:15.
I have 3 spaces available if anyone else is interested in joining us.
How did I miss this thread? I'll be there (having dinner with the figmentvi bunch). Looks like quite a few Ohioans will be there on the 4th (myself, helenabear, Denine). Sounds like a photo opportunity to me. See you all in just a little over a month.
Yep It's official.....Our Thursday night tickets.....are in will call waiting for us......Looking so forward to this special event!!...So all the Disboarders will be wearing lime green ribbons??
See you there, The Dixon clan!
Just a reminder for any DIS'ers who will be at the Dec. 4th MVMCP and you want to meet other DIS'ers. We'll be meeting in front of the "Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe" in Liberty Square just before the first parade. Here is a map of the meeting spot...
