Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party Central 2006

Went to Christmas Party on 12/8 and had a great timel, although I didn't think I would ever be wearing long underwear in Florida, but with the cold temps and wind felt good. Not very crowded, longest wait was to get on tram at midnight to get back to parking lot.

The parade and fireworks were really enjoyable, the fireworks some of the best I've seen, lot of "wow" moments.

An upgrade on the quality of hot chocolate and the cookies since my family last went around 5 years ago.

Interesting to see no water splashes at Splash Mountain, just to cold.

Only negative was the family right behind me on Pirates who took flash photos of everything on the ride, I was blind by time ride was over. Also almost saw a tram hit a wheelchair at the pedestrian crossing where you board the trams in front of the MK. Disney just missed a big time lawsuit.

'Twas the Night... Is also performed during the day. Check the schedule for the day you are there. We didn't need to see it during the party because we caught it a few evenings before during regular hours. Ohh and DO NOT MISS THE CHRISTMAS PARADE - there is something very special about it, but I will not tell. Let me just say try to sit close up. Have fun!!

Thanks for the heads up momshark! I don't want to miss anything special this night. This is our only park time for a short trip. If we watch the parade from Frontierland do you think we'll get the full effect?

Thanks for the good wishes.

:mickeyjum :donald: :tigger: :goofy: I also went to the party on the 5th, it was excellent, I was disapponted with the fact that the Country Bear show wasn't a christmas show though. I love that!! gets me int he spirit of christmas. I was limited with what i could do being 9 months pregnant and thought i could at least do that, but was let down. but the hot chocolate was good and the cookies were very good my mother in law loved the apples too. It did get cool at night but the days were mostly in the 70s and the beginning of our trip was 84, 82, 83, which was wonderful. dress warm. Oh and if you are staying on the property, you can now get a "Dole Whip" at the Polynesian Hotel, which is the best.... have a great time....

Actually he was out during the day also, he is working the tree lot there in MK behind the teaups, he was there both day and night. Also Mad Hatter and Alice were on the left side of the tea cups, tweedle dum and dee were in front ( now we are talking as if you are walking towards the teacups from Main street) Snow white and SNow Prince were were in the stroller parking area by its a small world and Pinocchio, perla and suzy and the whole Pinochio gang were having a dance party by the dumbo ride9It was funny watching Pinochhio dancing the monster dance from Thriller by M. Jackson, lmlao)--also Pluto was in Cosmic rays with chip and dale also having a dance party

Thanks for the tip that he is out during the day! Today has been great news as far as characters go, my DGF is excited because she heard Daisy has been out in the parks alot, and I, being an huge ducktales fan, can't wait to get a pic with Uncle Scrooge. Thanks for the help!

Absolutely! We sat in front of the little brick wall outside of LTT and to the right of the entrance to the path to the smoking area behind LTT. Hope that makes sense. A plus, the hot chocolate is given out 2 buildings down. We kept sending my BF's DH back for refills. You will have a blast!! :wizard:

Twas the Night is only performed during normal park hours on Saturday. I checked this on SUNDAY with the CM as the schedule board, as well as the listing in the times guide for this week Dec 10 - Dec 16.

we went to the MVMCP on 12/8 and we literally felt like the park was our alone!

We walked on almost every single ride!! It was a beautiful night and we had such a wonderful time!

One week later was a completely different story. :guilty: EEK! We went on the 12th and it was quite pleasant. Very reasonable crowds and wonderful, then we went again on the 15th and holy SMOKES! We left by 10:15, we couldn't take the massive crowds anymore. LOTS of people on the monorail then saying the exact same thing. It was just like the MK during the day on Saturday the 9th. NOT fun. It was sold out and in our opinions FAR too many tickets sold to be enjoyable, a TOTAL zoo. Live and learn and now we know. The advice to not go on a Friday night, close to Christmas is a very good one. We actually hadn't wanted to...long story why we did but I'd not do it again.

I went on the 14th..... and this is the kind of weather we had!

It rained so hard that we were soaked! We even went home after the 1st parade. My leather shoes were soaking wet, and so was I- even though I had a rain coat on! UGH!!! I think I'm done with MVMCP for a while. :-(

We were also there on the 14th and the rain was a big downer (pun intended) I hoped it would scare away some of the crowds but it was still pretty busy (it was sold out that night).

I waited until the morning of 12/14 to buy my ticket. Told me it was sold out, so I missed it. Glad I did now because of the rain and I also got to see CP on standby and only wait 15-20 minutes!
