Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party Central 2006

We are going to our first party this year on Nov. 13th. does anyone have the 2006 schedule yet????? we booked Tony's for 5:30.

Nothing is released prior to the maps/schedule you get as you enter the party.

So most people go by last year's info as it doesn't change too much from year to year.

Anyone have any words of wisdom/insights/advice for me? I'm going to WDW 12/14 to 12/17 with my DS. He's never been in Dec and I'm anxious to share all the holiday celebrations with him. He really LOVES MNSSHP so I think he'll also enjoy MVMCP (but no candy). Our choices are arrival day which I just don't think it a good idea and Friday night which may be really crowded with locals.

If Friday night is sold out is it too crowded to be enjoyable? Would you buy tickets now so that you could be sure to go or would you wait and buy tickets there and only go if not sold out?

Thanks for any insights.

thanks Cinderumbrella,

On dec. 14, its extra magic hour... so people staying in the resort could stay extra hours.. so why would i need to buy tickets.. couldnt I just stay at the park?? Cause the events in also playing on that date.

More than likely that is a mistake. You won't have Extra Hours on the night of the MVMCP... :confused3

I couldn't find the post you were replying to but it's not a mistake. Its the EMH MORNING, not evening...so the day guests will have to leave by 7:00p.

How old is your son and what time are you arriving in WDW the day you get there???

Re: the schedule--How long are the shows so we can decide what to watch on what time?

Re: holiday photos--what time do they start allowing people to line up for those?

Since they did away w/ the free photos at the MNNSHP, I wouldn;t count on getting one at MVMCP.

However, if they do have them ... last year, we got to MK early (around 5 I think) and were able to take out picture before 7 PM so we didn't have to waste perecious party time waiting in line to do it. We got in line about 6:30, and it took us at the most 10 minutes from getting in line to walking out of the building over in Adventureland.

DS will be a couple weeks shy of 6. We arrive at MCO at 1:15 but I think I've decided to go to MGM on Thu to do Osborne lights and I am going to purchase tickets for Fri night. Even if we have to fight a few crowds we'll be OK. We won't be there for the rides-mostly shows and atmosphere. I know we'll have a great time.

Is there a list of events and times for things that go on during the Party? I may consult my TourGuideMike... just wondering about an updated list. I say the original post, and it listed tons of things to do.. I just wondered if anything had a certain time it happens?

Thanks in advance!

Susan

We'll be there Monday November 27th.

Hey everyone,
Has anybody come back from the party yet with this year's party with the schedule yet. I leave next week and I was wondering what's going on? I'm so excited I can hardly wait to get down there.

Thanks!!

AllEArs has the schedule here:

I am probably going 12/14!

Edit: one intersting thing I noted on the schedule: at the treat stops, they will also have sliced appes and apple juice, I guess for those who don't want cookies and hot choc. I don't remember them doing that last year.

That is new - I didn't see that last year either. Probably a good idea. Though everyone was glad last year for the hot chocolate - the temps were in the 30's when we were there! We wore parkas, something I would never have expected in Florida, though my Floridian Dsis warned me to be prepared. It was only warm enough for shorts 2 days out of our entire week!

Thanks soooo much. I don't want to miss anything and with our dinner time of 4:05 I'm sure we'll be ready to go by 7. We'll be there 12/7 in our matching blue sweatshirts,,,, Say hi if you see me and mom!!

We're going the 15th with my family and Ma & Pa Kettle I can't wait to take my parents to Disney. We're staying at Allstar Movies and they have never stayed on property before. Anyway, getting a little off track, I scheduled LTT for 7:15 that evening so we could have dinner and a rest as my parents will probably need it since I hope to arrive a 4:00.

I'm worried about missing Twas the Night Before Christmas. I also want to see both firework displays and the parade and the must do rides are Splash Mtn, Mickeys Phil... and the haunted mansion and I would love to get a picture with Scrooge. Do you think we'll be able to do all of this without stressing?

I can't wait two weeks!!! :yay:

If you're having dinner at 7:15, you will be spending a good part of the party sitting in a restaurant. Most people try to eat before the party starts. I personally am just grabbing some counter service (planning on a big meal at Trails End earlier in the day) because I don;t want to waste party time eating.

This is what I'm afraid of but I also don't want to wear out my parents. And, I do love the characters so I'm torn :confused3

Thanks for the input though, it is greatly appreciated!

My DD4 will actually prefer this I think. She is not interested in hot drinks yet, and only likes some cookies, but loves apples.

We will be there Dec. 5!

'Twas the Night... Is also performed during the day. Check the schedule for the day you are there. We didn't need to see it during the party because we caught it a few evenings before during regular hours. Ohh and DO NOT MISS THE CHRISTMAS PARADE - there is something very special about it, but I will not tell. Let me just say try to sit close up. Have fun!!

We just got back from WDW yesterday and it was great. We went to the party on the 5th and had a blast. It was a long day but we ate at 430 at LTT and managed to do everything. The parade was special....santa wjile on top of his sleigh on the house even talked to my GF's daughter because she had one of the stuffed reindeer that they sold that night. It was a great time
