Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party Central 2005

We have a little while still (just over 3 weeks), but I can't hardly wait for the first party to hear all the details! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

We'll be at the party Dec 4th, I can't wait!!!!!!
It's so close now, it's driving me crazy!!!!!
Our first time staying in Disney and our first time
visiting at Christmas time!!!!

Please forgive me in advance...I simply cannot get through all these wonderful posts! We will be at MK during the first day of Mickey's Christmas Party.

I am sure this has been asked and answered...but, the ONLY day we will be there during this event is the very first day is starts...will it be tooooo crazy busy to even think about it???

Also, if someone could give me a brief description of what goes on during this event...or Link me in the right direction, I would appreciate it so much! For a family of 4, it is a tremendous amount extra to pay on top of the entrance ticket....please tell me it's worth it!! :teeth:

I wouldn't expect it to be TOO busy since it's a Sunday night and everyone should be headed home from the Thanksgiving holiday by then.

Here's a web site with lots of info:

It's most definitely worth it as you can't beat Disney magic during the holidays!

Anniebell ...
We are going to MVMCP on Thursday Dec. 8 ... that is our first day down there too so I did not buy a park ticket for that day, the party will be more than enough for us plus we will not get into Orlando till 11:20 and we want to do lunch at the Rainforest Cafe around 2:00 ...
Remember you can get into MVMCP at 4:00 the day of the party with no other park ticket needed, all you need is your MVMCP ticket. 4 till midnight sounds like a full day for us (that is what we did for MNSSHP too and it worked out GREAT)

Our night at MVMCP last year was hands down the best night of our 10 day trip to Disney! My dd's had a fabulous time dancing with the characters. The crowds were down compared to the daytime, but it was still Disney. When MVMCP opened we headed straight for the rides that were able to feed through the fewest number of people (i.e. the ones that go round and round and only sit like 40 or something per run) -- Dumbo, the tea cup ride, etc. There was almost no wait. We had way more time with characters there than during the day -- they didn't seem as rushed (or maybe we werent'?). Though it wasn't cold my kids loved being able to get a cup of hot chocolate and a cookie (I didn't think either were very good, but the kids loved it). You get to see a special parade which, I believe, is the same as the parade they show on Christmas Day. We really enjoyed getting to 'relive' it on TV on Christmas.

All said, the extra cost was totally worth it. I ordered tickets again this year first thing!

Could anyone tell me the approximate time of the Tree Lighting Ceremony on Main Street at Magic Kingdom each evening? Working on my itinerary and want to make sure we get to see this. Thanks!!

I think it is 6pm on normal nights...I would guess they do it earlier on MVMCP nights. Anyone know for sure???

I'll be there in a week from today!! I'm so excited :goodvibes :Pinkbounc :jumping3:

Does anyone have an opinion on going the last day. should i buy tickets now or wait until the day of or when I arrive in Florida. i don't want to go if it israining and this is the only night that somthing else is not planned. I have changed my dinning plans soo much that I dont want to do it any more but if this night is going to be crazy maybe I will change and try for another night. Please help>

Disney's MK official calendar says that Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party
is until Dec. 20. Then, for Dec 21-23 it is scheduled "MVMCP" at 3:00 instead of "Share a Dream Parade". Is this "MVMCP" the Christmas PARADE? On the other hand, they have scheduled for Dec. 24 "Share a Dream Parade" at 12:30 and 3:30. Does this make sense? Can anyone tell me if MVMCParade will be on Dec 24?

9 More days for us!! Candlelight processional on November 30th and MVMCP on December 1st!!! Whooo Hoooo! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Coming down to the wire now! Leaving early Friday morning! MVMCP November 29 and Candlelight Dec 1!

Final packing and errands today!!
