as of December 31. Supposedly, this "nugget of info" - seen on another board - was told to attendees of a "Disneyland agent education program"

Yeah we purchased a package for January and were told it will no longer be an option. They replaced it with some other feature. That and something else were out for next year.
I've never been to toon town.. is it crazy busy?

Now I'm intrigued. What is the "some other feature" that's coming? What is the "something else" that's out for next year?

I've heard something, but it looked to be an unbased rumor and don't want to spread it. I'm guessing nothing is going to replace MTTM.

the preferred seating at Aladdin.

I think they have gotten rid of the need to prop up DCA with special tickets to its attractions. It's looking more like WDW with limited extra and more EMH.

it was just the photopass and the extra hour every morning to either park. I just couldn't remember what. :)

This is correct, Toontown Morning Madness will end, as will the preferred seating at ALaddin and the other shows. It will be replaced with a credit for 1 5x7 ride photo from either Space, Splash, Screamin' or ToT.

The powers that be feel like MTTMM has lived a good life, but needs to retire. While it is a sweet event, many people do not use the privilege again on future visits, after having experienced it once. In the effort to constantly evaluate and change things up, this is something that is going to go. I am hoping that they will replace it with another special experience that will be new and fresh for everyone.

I agree it is a bad exchange-though I can understand changing it.I'm thinking of the under 5 set who can't ride any of those rides. They should have a 5x7 by any photo pass photographer. (but, I guess, they are trying to get the adults and families with older kids with that-maybe those with small kids are a small portion of visitors?)

I agree. Even though my son was tall enough to ride everything but Indy and Screamin', he was often not tall enough to be seen in the ride photos. It was a bummer! It depended on where he sat and who was in front of him. He sat in the front car of Space once and that was the best ride photo we got b/c he can clearly be seen. On Splash, he rode in the last seat with me several times and in the photos he was invisible.
