What is this? Does it come with your ticket or is it extra? Is it only offered to some people or everyone? If it costs extra, how much and is it worth it? We have 3 kids --4,7,9. Is this the best time to meet characters or are there plenty of opportunities? We were just in WDW and aren't dying to see any particular character, although always enjo this part of the trip. Any thoughts are welcome---thanks! :yay:

Ours came with the package for AAA. But to tell the truth I don't know much about it.......I guess town town opens at 10 if the rest of the park opens at 9.........one hour early if you have the morning madness. Hope some one else had more to say ........I would like to know more too!

You must purchase a package either from AAA or also Disney Travel (at least available online) to get this "perk."

While it sounds fun IMO it is not worth the extra $$ for a package. I just priced out packages (for 1) and the cost of the tickets came out to way more then the cost of the room and the tickets seperate.

We did it last year through a package from aaa. We knew up front that we were paying more by doing a package but iwewanted the enhanced fastpass. Toontown morning was an added bonus in our eyes. We really enjoyed it. It's an hour ealy entry into Toontown. It's a great opportunity for doing the rides with very minimal wait as well as getting pctures and autographs from classic disney characters. Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and Daisy are just a few. Half way through there's a parade into City Hall where a random family is named family of the day. Everyone gets buttons as well. Our kids really enjoyed this part of our trip. Typically toontown opens up an after hour the park does, this entry gets you in when teh park actually opens.

So you can't get it just buying a regular ticket?

Unfortunately no. You have to purchase a package through WDTC, aaa or i think someone said costco. Package is defined as hotel and parkhoppers.

There is an opportunity to meet Chip n Dale, Goofy, Donald, Pluto, Mickey and Minnie before and after morning madness with little to no wait... its a cute time for kids, especially since there isn't a Fab 5 type breakfast at DL (like Chef Mickey at WDW)

If you do end up with Morning Madness tickets, I highly recommend going one morning. :) I work in Toontown Attractions, and that first hour the lines are usually non-existent for Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin and Gadget's Co Coaster. Mickey's House gets crowded in that first hour and usually will stay crowded the rest of the day. There is a really cute ceremony and the characters are out and about. By the end of that hour, the lines are usually fairly long.

Besides Morning Madness, the characters are out periodically throughout the day until about 4:30. Mickey is in his house always until Toontown closing. We usually have Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Pluto, Chip and Dale making appearances every half hour or so. Other characters can be found in various parts of the park - Main Street, in front of the castle, Tomorrowland, and Frontierland. You can always ask someone wearing an "Ask Me About Characters" button for more specific information, or have a CM with phone access - usually in a store - to call the Toon Finder hotline if you decide you want to see a specific character. The hotline is available for most of the day.
