I've just seen this on the Disney Parks blog

As many of you know, we’re in the midst of the largest expansion in Magic Kingdom history, which will nearly double the size of Fantasyland. In order to make way for this transformation, it’s important to let you know Mickey’s Toontown Fair will close in early February.

That doesn’t mean we’ve forgotten about some of your favorite characters. Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and the Disney princesses will move to Town Square in the location currently known as Town Square Exposition Hall in spring 2011. Until that location is ready, they will continue to greet guests throughout Magic Kingdom. Meanwhile, Tinker Bell will relocate to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and her other fairy friends will appear later in the spring at Epcot. The Walt Disney World Railroad will stay open, but the Toontown station will remain closed during construction.

not happy, it was one of the best bit of the park i hope they keep mickeys and minnies house.
bev will never get to see it.

Not happy I love Goofys barnstormer:scared1:

Unless they have reviewed the decision, the Barnstormer is set to stay - it will just be moved and re-themed.

I wonder where they will start the Trick or Treat Trail for MNSSHP next year.

Thank god they are not dumping Barnstormer, Not been on it in 12 years so it better be there for my visit next year.

Yeah, as far as I know Barnstormer''s getting a fantasy makeover but it'll still be around after the big expansion. Not sure if it will be running any time between Feb 2011 and the end of the expansion though.

Unfortunately however, Mickey and Minnie's house are going. I believe Mickey and Minnie's move to Exposition Hall is permanent (Well, until the next big change).

I doubt it. I will miss the old Goofy theming though. It is so cute and since it's one of the Fab Five, it appeals to boys and girls. I hope they don't mess it up when they re-theme .....

I am going to miss those. Sadly we only made it to Minnie's house this year. We just never got back to Mickey's place. I took loads of photos of the Barnstormer though - it was DD's first Disney rollercoaster. I wish they would add bigger cars though - it's such a squeeze getting into one of those barnstormer cars :crowded:

IMO, the lines for Mickey, Minnie and the Princesses in their newly relocated Town Square areas is going to be a HUGE problem and possibly unmanagable by all normal standards.

In Toon Town, they were all inside buildings and had long, cool, roped off areas for people to queue up in. In Town Square, they are going to be standing on the open sun and possibly blocking the entranceways to the park if the new location are where I think they will be, replacing the current group of characters that are there now.

My guess is that this will either make the lines shorter, for people not wanting to wait 60-90 minutes in the hot sun or they will be relocated again to a more manageable location. Considering that these are some of the most popular characters in the park, I am guessing relocation is more plausable.

The new meet and greet areas are being constructed INSIDE Exposition Hall so it shouldn't be a problem. :goodvibes

:guilty: I was so hoping that Toontown would still be up for our February weekend. DD isn't big enough for any of the other "big girl" rides so she spends most of her time at the Barnstormer. She's going to be devastated. Maybe she'll grow the 2.5 inches she needs to ride Splash Mountain between now and then!

We just booked our trip a few months ago for this coming October. I was so looking forward to taking my DD aged 5 to see Mickey and Minnie's house. Gutted to discover they're no longer there. :sad1: We went in 1999 and I loved them!
