Since I wasn't able to find a review on this before we ordered it I thought I'd post one.
We ordered & received this last Friday. We did have both very good and not so great service over the phone & e-mail with the Disney Florists. I had called to ask about both taking some of the items out of the package and substituting. I spoke with a rather gruff woman at first who decided that before going any further with the conversation that she had to interrupt me to tell me the price, after I had told her that I had been looking at the package on the internet and knew the price. She also asserted that there can only be additions made to the package, I couldn't take anything out of it. I have 1 son who isn't interested in Minnie Mouse and probably wouldn't wear the glittery Minnie ears that come with the package. I asked about substituting a different plush character and hat, but was told no. My husband later found a blog from the Disney Florist on this topic saying that substitutions are allowed. I had some e-mails back and forth regarding this where again I was told that they would make an exception and give me a substitution.
We scheduled for them to come decorate our room while we were at the Halloween Party. I have to say over all I am disappointed with what we received for the hefty price. A lot of the items are handcrafted and not of the quality I would have expected. The door banner we received is stained (maybe this happened after they hung it as many people do walk past our door) and some of the ears on the string of Mickey pumpkin lights are loose, and the glitter is missing in spots of multiple pumpkins - wondering what shape they'll be in after the trip home. The snacks/treats in the cauldron were also disappointing - 3 small bags of rold gold pretzels, a few Disney Halloween rice krispy treats, some off brand lollipops & a bag of kettle corn. Yes my son was really excited to come back to a nice Halloween surprise, loves the Mickey plush & ears and enjoyed the black light part of it. But again for $400 to me it's not worth it. Also have to say that I was shocked that there was a $10 delivery fee - really would have expected for that to be included in the price.

Thank you for posting this, I have been on the fence. Should I Oder or not to order. We are going to MNSSHP and it is a surprise so I was thinking of adding the decorations etc. knowing you only get about $100 (just guessing) worth of stuff for the price of $400 probably not worth it to me. I appreciate the insight!

Wow, that's crazy. I'm glad you shared your experience though, that's a lot of money for what you got. I would have been disappointed too. I had heard on other threads that the florist couldn't come in to your room, that the CMs get that placed on their 'to do' list so was it the florist that decorated or maybe a CM just did what they could in the time allotted?

The Mickey & Minnie are the larger ones - I believe they are $30 each, plus the 2 pairs of ears about $15-$20 each. The candelabra is nice - I'd guess $30-$40ish, the lit up tablecloth probably $15, the cauldron is plastic - couple bucks there, the snacks probably about $10, the banner probably $20-25, the lights are big & multicolored - maybe $25 value - there's also "villain cards", foam pumpkins, eyeball tattoos, many spider rings, cobwebs. Oh and the black light flashlights are a good quality. My son was excited to come back to a decorated room, but I wouldn't say $400 worth of excitement. For us because we didn't get the Minnie or the glittery ears they substituted some tote bags which are of a nice quality.

We just ordered some stuff from a Disney shopper and plan on giving the kids things from our 'surprise' bag on throughout the week. We also ordered a basket from Memories by Betsy.....it won't be a decorated room but they enjoy it and we bring our own decorations for the kids to put out.

Thanks for listing things that were in the package though....sounds like quite a bit of stuff. I was imagining less based on the first post ;)

Last year, we did our own "in room celebration" with the itinerary planning office for YC/BC/BWI. At first, IPO referred me to the Disney Florist, but Robyn (Disneymomx7) here on the Dis suggested that I let IPO know I'd like to work with them instead. It was wonderful. I worked with them to create a list of pirate-themed items that would be set up and waiting in our room - swords, mickey ears, treasure boxes, beads, eye patches, pirate Mickey plush, etc. They estimated the cost, I gave IPO my credit card, they did all the shopping and setting up and our boys were SO surprised when they walked in the room.

This time, we have a split stay between BC and CR CL. I wanted the surprise in our room at BC and we're not staying CL there this time, so I purchased everything on my own. I ordered personalized Mickey pumpkin head cinch bags from Etsy, and Mickey halloween plush and the halloween mickey ears from disneystore.com. I also have glow sticks and some other little things. I'll need to carry the items with me and set them up myself, but I think they'll really enjoy it again.

Either way (with or without IPO) I know it will be customized and I won't be overpaying or paying for things I don't want to include.
