Mickey's So Long Summer Cruise 2.0

Hey all, just checking in as I have just realized that I no longer have to think wistfully about that cruise we're taking next year. Now I can start getting excited abot the cruise we will be on later THIS year!!

I'm sure you have all kept up to date on the videos and whatnot but saw this one today and thought I'd share just in case you hadn't...

Thanks for the video. I saw it yesterday, but it was even better today:thumbsup2

Last night I changed my reservations from the Radisson to the Residence Inn for our pre-cruise stay. We stayed at the Residence Inn before and really liked the rooms and the staff. While they don't have as nice a pool, they do have free breakfast every morning:)

Check out the DCL website today:thumbsup2 It has a video of Palo and Remy:)

We have a few inches today but are expecting a real storm on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week:scared1:

Family is in the house jumping around on the x-box kinect.

It's snowing again. It doesn't look like it will be enough to cancel school tomorrow:sad2:

So it's off to work and school we go:rolleyes:

Snow, Snow, Everywhere.....I need to see a palm tree!!!

....can't wait to read the trip reports from the MV of the dream!!!

I had to open a FB account so that I could enjoy all the beautiful pics of the Dream. She is really an awesome ship. The attention to detail is awesome:thumbsup2

DCL doesn't look like they cut any corners with the staterooms and the restaurants:)

I booked our pre-cruise stay (finally)!

We received a pin for a great deal at Wilderness Lodge. We arrived on the 12 and checkout for the ship on the 16th!!!

Need to get new paspports, airlines tickets, make ADR's, make spa ressies, Palo ressies, pay for the cruise and pay for WDW... am I forgetting anything? Oh yeah, the cash I need for all of this!!

The good news about driving down to the port is that I don't have to worry about how much my bags weigh:thumbsup2

The bad news is that I have never driven this far in my life:scared1:

I usually have an eight hour rule. If it takes more than eight hours to drive, I'm flying:rotfl:

sounds like so much fun- I have heard how fabulous WL is. we still have not figured out what to do pre- cruise...and southwest hasn't opened flights yet that far out- hoping the price will come done...the airfare kills a family of 5:scared1:

7 months from today, people!!!!

Driving down must also make it easy to bring the alcohol!:rotfl:
We drove non stop to Myrtle Beach once... It was a miracle we did not kill each other... good for you for trying!!

I was reading on of the threads on the board comparing DCL to other cruiselines. People were often referring to the party atmosphere that is on other lines, with so many drunk people...and that stuff doesn't happen on
DCL. I was dying laughing as my first memories of DCL was the HUGE rolling cooler of alcohol DH was rolling through the port, and then when I make it to deck 9-- who can forget the site of the wristband table filled with bottles of booze!!:rotfl2:

DCL isn't a party ship until I get on board. :cool1:

LOL, I barely remember that table of booze! But, I know I enjoyed every bottle.:drinking1:drinking1:drinking1

Just watched the Dream Christening live. Spectacular production!!! I can not wait to get on my ship, bottles and all!!! :cheer2:

:cool1: Another one on board. Unfortunately I noticed that HALofVA has taken herself off this cruise. Does this mean we need to start a MSLSC #3?

I used her info to book my cabins so that I had a chance to see the ocean on our three sea days:goodvibes

Let's open a new thread when we get back from this summer's cruise:thumbsup2

I booked this cruise myself through disney. When I was on the magic I did not book a cruise so I had no discount or OBC. the only thing I think I am getting is $25OBC for using my disney visa.

is there anything I can do to try and get OBC? am I able to transfer my reservation to DU or another agency to get a better deal, or am I better off just leaving it alone

Wow! How are you getting $250 OBC from Visa? I thought they only did $50.
Anyway, you should talk to Michele, she is the queen of getting OBCs :worship:.
You can check with a travel agent and see if they are offering any OBC if you transfer your reservation to them, would check since different agents have different OBC offers and how they apply. Have Fun.
