Is it running now sporadically for the general public? Or have they only held invitational screenings? We're going next week and would love to know what's happening now with this. Anyone know the current status???

Thanks!

From what I understand it is open but in soft opening. Meaning it can break down and they can shut it down at any time that they wish.

We got a sneak peak on Sunday as AP holders, on Tuesday, they had some sneak peaks also for everyone else. We were at the MK today, but didn't go through FantasyLand so I don't know if it's on going.

The attraction will open on October 8th.
Some very limited previews have been given, but they're trying to finish work on the attraction, so it is not anywhere near as regular as the previews for Mission:Space were. If they are running previews, there will be a sign at the attraction entrance inviting you to take part. If there is no sign, there are no previews.

SSteve - We are at MK on October 7th - do you think there would be any possibility it would be opened on the day before?
We also have a Family Magic Tour booked on Oct7th. I know they take the group on a ride at the completion of the tour. Do you think it would help at all if I asked prior to the start if maybe it would be possible to see MP?? We aren't going to be able to get to MK on the 8th, and leaving on the 9th :(
Any thoughts?
Thanks very much!

I can make no promises. It's possible that it will be open on the 7th. It's also possible that they will be in rush-mode finishing it up and it will not open at all on the 7th.
It also depends on which tour guide you have and who meets you at the end of your tour. You could ask, but I wouldn't press the issue, and expect the request to be politely declined b/c the attraction isn't open yet.
If you're in the park before the official opening date there can be no guarantees, and I cringe at the thought of predicting such a thing.

Thanks Steve - appreciate your input on this. I'd really hate to miss it, so I'll just be discreet about it and hope for the best.
:D

We were there on 9/20 and took advantage of the AP sneak peak! We really enjoyed the show. It has some different features than the other 3D movies. They did a nice job incorporating all the different movies and music. Wish I had gone on it several times, but the kids wanted to do some other rides.

We couldn't help ourselves on the 20th. We saw this four times! It started out a little bit disappointing, the 3d effects seemed a bit muddled to me. But...POW...this turned into a great show!! I was very impressed and entertained. And the air conditioning is the coldest of all the parks here too.
