Mickey's Philharmagic for 2yo?

Hi, do you think a 2 year old would enjoy Mickey's philharmagic? I've never seen it so I don't know...also, this might be a dumb question, but you don't put the 3-D glasses on a child that young, right?

Our sons both enjoyed it at young ages (10 months, and 2 years). We did not put glasses on either one. It is dark though, so you need to know your child. Mine don't seem be have any fear at all. They went on everything that they were not restricted from, including HM without a problem. Have fun!

Most kids are going to take the glasses off at that age. They still might enjoy the show.

Mine were four or five before they "got" 3D movies.

My dd screamed her head off at all 3D shows when she was that age. We would try them but one of us would sit right near the exit so if she was too scared, we would leave immediately.

I would say - don't plan on it but go ahead and try it.

DD is a total drama queen though - most kids probably would be fine if they just remove the glasses. I will say though that Philharmagic, while wonderful, is very, very loud at parts. That enough can be enough to scare a 2 year old.

You can look forward to it in the future though - dd was 4 on last trip and finally sat through it although I don't think she loved it yet.

We took our girls last sept at ages 4.5 and 2.5. They both LOVED it! The 2 year old sat on my lap, and I whispered things to her about the show while it was happening (to help her "get it"). SHe wore the glasses, kept them on just fine, and enjoyed trying to catch Jasmine's jewels (among other things) when they floated in front of her.

If they don't wear the glasses, I would think they would be pretty confused, as the movie will look rather goofy.

the glasses freaked out my little ones, they didnt understand. but they were always fine in the shows.

My little one liked it ok. The first time, he freaked out when stuff would fly at us. He wore the glasses, but he sat in my lap the whole time.

I guess it depends on the child, but DD saw it right after her 3rd birthday and loved it! She kept her glasses on most of the time. (A couple times she took them off to see the difference.) She did not find it scary at all, but she is more afraid of the "monster" type scary. She saw it again at 4 1/2 and it continues to be a favorite.

my youngest loved it when he was 1 1/2 yo. It was my favorite because he would always fall asleep during the show. I guess because it had air in there and dark too. He never wore the glasses though.

My son was almost 2 when we went in May. He liked it, but wanted to play with the glasses more than watch the show.

Both of my kiddos hated it when we were there last time. They were 2.5 yrs and 5 yrs. The 5 year old is afraid of everything, but he really was uncomfortable with the 3-D feel or the wind/water thing coming at him. The 2.5 year old is usually fearless, but he wasn't have any of it. The glasses were a fun toy and probably his favorite part was putting them into the collection bins at the end. Both loudly declared that they "never wanted to go into the building again" when we left.

DS was almost 2 when we went, and he sat on my lap.....wouldn't wear the glasses, but didn't seem to mind the show.

I did wish that I put earplugs in his ears and mine! It was REALLY WAY too loud in there.

My daughter is 26 months and she sits in a chair and wears her glasses, in fact she puts them on as soon as you get them and will not take them off!!!!!
She loves the show.

We were at WDW when ds turned 2yo and he ADORED both Muppets 3D and Mickey's Philharmagic!

So much so that he cried every time we had to give back the glasses.

Over our 8 night trip I think we saw Mickey's about 3-4x and Muppets about 6x!

When we went last year, our youngest had just turned 1. He loved it. My husband put the 3-d glasses on him and he tried to grab at things. It was funny. He didn't keep the glasses on for very long but he did enjoy the show We are going again this year, he'll be turning 2 while we are there and I know he will have even more fun

Last year when my DD was 2.5 we went to see the Muppets and a Bug's Life and wore the 3D glasses. She loved both shows and didn't mind the glasses. I'd say to at least try to get them to wear them after 1.5 or 2, depending on the child. To get them to stay on I just used a hair elastic. For girls you can tie them right to their hair or if their head is small enough just tie the two things (I'm having a real senior moment here, I can't think of what the things that hold the glasses to your head are called) together in back.

My DD was almost three when she saw this for the first time. She loved it! She put the glasses on and sat in her own seat the entire time. It was a great memory with her reaching for things coming out at her from the screen.

My almost 2 year old saw it last week. He didn't like it at all. He would get upset then would calm down and something would happen again that bothered him. He didn't scream like crazy, but kept sayind "all done all done" in a little panicked voice. He saw it at 17 months and was fine. So you just never know what age things will bother them. I say try it or a few things and see how it goes because all children are so different.

We just saw it yesterday and my 2 year old enjoyed it - he wore the glasses and everything. In fact, he saw all the 3D shows and had no troubles whatsoever. He did all the rides and wasn't scared either - so I guess you need to gauge your child and his/her reactions.
