AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH

We leave for the airport in 3 days/4 sleeps and only 5 days til we're in Orlando baby!

Can you tell I am excited

I hope you guys are OK from the storm!

Mary, I'm on a well also so I totally understand what your saying! I can get past the flushing toliet (garbage bags work well in a pinch) but the no shower thing.....icky!:scared1: Thank goodness I still have baby wipes!

Dawn, you may already know about this trick, but it you lose power, you can still flush the toilet. We've had to do this as we also live in the country and lose power, usually briefly, for any number of reasons. More often a loss of electricity in our house (no matter where we live) is because I forgot to pay the bill - just kidding- is because dh has shut it off to do a wiring project.
As long as you have buckets of water to pour into the toilet (take it from the pool if you have one or with enough notice, prefill the tub). The flushing action has nothing to do with electricity.

Well, I just printed out a few little "buisness cards" for the boys. I put their name and email address on them so they can give them to any friends they may meet on the cruise. :thumbsup2

Good idea. :) I don't have a business or a professional title, but I've thought about having cards made. It reminds me of the old days when people would leave their card if they visited someone who wasn't at home or made a new acquaintance.

Hayley, PLEASE contain yourself:lmao: We allllllll share in your joy and excitement as the time of your departure and arrival wind down. :rotfl2: Especially since that means we are also closer. You are awarded 1 :dancer: for your excitement.

We (mom, husband, sons and myself) were watching the swimming competition and they were all insisting (vociferously) that Phelps reached the wall after that other swimmer, but I kept saying, "You can't tell from the overhead shot how close their fingertips are to the wall". FINALLY, they showed the underwater angle and Blow-me-down, my mom and Warren admitted I was right. :cool1:

Dawn, I have a difference of opinion on Torres. Considering the average age of an Olympic athlete is 24, she is "old". I don't have a problem with the experts referring to her that way because she probably takes a heck of a lot of pride in being where she is at her age and rubbing in the faces of those "kids". I loved listening to her last night after the torn swimsuit problem. I imagine she's a good balance of competitive but sportsmanlike. My nieces are competitive runners but they would rather lose a race than see another runner get cheated by circumstances.

Dale, I'm glad you followed up on my suggestion. Did you check out the corporate praise music? My Dodge is an awesome Dodge....

Welllll, I should pack. Off to California tomorrow! My friend who's taking me is already there. I drove her to the airport yesterday. With my mom being here (just left), I couldn't just leave with my friend. I'll make a report when I come home. It won't compare to Dubai or Holland. :)

Hi guys, my first chance to check in today! I can't believe in three weeks, I'll have met some of you already (those staying at the Radisson)!!!! Can't believe we will be cruising in 22 days!!!!

We meant that no power=no water=no flushing. Not that you need power to flush lol. I don't know about Dawn but, I do have a pool so I could flush that way. Thanks for the reminder! I actually do know about that trick it just didn't come into my mind.

Thanks for the tip Monica. I did know about that trick but we don't have a swimming pool (wish I did) and everytime I fill our bathtub w/ water it leaks out. :confused3 I'll fill up some extra bottles w/ water for brushing our teeth and washing our hands but we will have to resort to the garbage bag thing for the toliet (gross I know but it works). I can't wait to hear your trip report Monica! Have a great time!
Hayley, I'm so excited for you! I hope the storm does not delay your flight in. I can't wait to hear about what you have been up to for the 17 days prior to our cruise.
Hey, I guess we all better decide in a hurry where we are going to meet so Hayley will know where to find us!

When is Hayley landing in FL?

Have a wonderful time in CA Monica!!

Three weeks from now I will be packing away for "Bush Gardens" :woohoo:

"Heyyyyyyy hey baby-oooh aah--I wanna know oh oh if you'll be my girl" --song they sang on the magic sail away last May. Disney has the best sail aways. Sammie and Ryan will be like "I can't believe I am sailing away on a DCL trip!"

Mary, I THINK she is flying in on Wed.
I created a email address just for Christopher today. I asked him what he would like for a screen name (aol). He asked why. I told him so he can have his own email. He smirked and said "I think I know what your getting me for my birthday." He thinks he is getting a computer and keeps trying to sneak into my closest (where I hide all the gifts) to find the box. :lmao: In the mean time I got out the pillowcases and sharpies and put them in their ziplock baggies w/ the name and stateroom number, printed out the buisness cards for the kids, and made one more new magnet all under Christopher's nose. Oh, I'm having so much fun with this. :rotfl2:
GOOOOOOOOOOOO Phelps!!!!! He's the man! Lezak brought it again!!!! Yea!!

Hey Dawn, you beat me.

I was exhausted and have gone to bed early the last two nights. We did over 5.5 miles yesterday, started out running, but after about 1.5 miles my friend fell so we walked the rest. The first 1/2 was towards Panera where we had breakfast and then the rest was back to her house. We definately were walking faster than I use to, and boy did my legs kill me last night. Hoping to get a cat nap before church this am.

Hope you all have a good Sunday, sure I'll be on later on. And YEA for 21 days!!! Oh, and if you remember, you can watch the Wonder leave port at 5pm.

:lmao: On Chris! Well now he will be asking for that for Christmas.
I hope Ryan and Sammie aren't upset that they are not going to Bush Gardens

It was a great week for Phelps and for the sport of swimming. That was worth the 4 year wait. Did you see the 38 year old woman win the marathon yesterday? And Torres win 2 silvers at age 41? It was a great week for "old chics" everywhere! hehe. I'm 37. :cheer2:

The first 1/2 was towards Panera where we had breakfast

Is that like the carrot on the stick?:rotfl: I like Panera but, I think I would walk longer and faster for some really good cheesecake. ;)

I have yet to see the Wonder of the Magic leave port. I always forget right at that time. I will aim for today again.

Well, I have a whole laundry list of stuff to do to get ready for this storm so I won't be on much today. The hurricane shutters are the one thing I am NOT looking forward to. I got the doggies washed so I won't be trapped in a house w/ stinky puppies. ;) :)
I have found out that I can't watch the webcam from my home computer. I am assuming my dial up connection is to slow because everytime I try to connect it disconnects me. :confused3:
Patricia, congrats on the race! :thumbsup2 to you for your continued motivation!
Everyone have a great Sunday!

Yea, I guess you could say that Mary, lol. Usually on Saturday's if we don't have other plans, we'll do our run and then go to Panera's. Last week we did our run and then walked over (adding another mile to our trip). This week we decided to stretch it, but honestly didn't think it was that much further than our 4 miles last week. So I was a little shocked when I found out how far we actually went. No wonder my legs were beat last night.

Well, I have a whole laundry list of stuff to do to get ready for this storm so I won't be on much today.

Everyone have a great Sunday!

Dawn,

Good luck getting everything done with the storm coming. I will be praying it does not head directly for you (or Mary, sorry forgot where you were). Stay safe ladies.

Thank you for your well wishs Patricia. Right now the current track has it coming ashore anywhere from just south of us to just north of us. It is anyone's guess until it gets closer. I think the biggest problem will be flooding in the area, although we have not had that problem on my particular street. I'm debating whether or not to haul out the hurricane shutters but I rather feel safe that sorry I suppose. The kids are pretty concerned. They had the pleasure of the much more stronger hurricane Charley, but I keep trying to assure them this is just going to be like one of our thunderstorms just a little more wind. They think of our hurricane shutters as a force field so I might just put them up to make the kids feel safer. In the meantime, I haven't let this slow me down from torturing Chris....21 days I told him until I can reveal his b-day present! I figure if the power goes out maybe I can start packing a little by flashlight. Mary, this is our first storm w/ the doggies too so it shall be interesting. Right now I'm more worried about making sure I get both cats inside!

Well, the good news is, according to the weatherman, we are expecting winds to top out at 58mph. That isn't bad at all so I'm not going to bother w/ the shutters unless things change. Work should be interesting tomorrow. I'm sure we will be swamped w/ calls with people canceling and rescheduling their appointments and with people who did not heed the advice to have enough of their meds on hand and now it will be an emergency that they get them right away. :sad2: Boy, I feel like I'm whining. I don't mean for it to come out that way. :)
Chase has his first day at his new school tomorrow so he is very excited to be going to school with his bo bo (brother).
Well, I need to get out and get the back yard mowed. Have a great Sunday everyone!
