I know this is early but we are going to Disneyland in October 2006 and want to know the dates of the MNSSHP. Does anyone know when those dates come out?

We went to Disney World's MNSSHP in 2005 and had a great time hoping for the same results in Disneyland.

If it follows the pattern of last year it would be Oct 20-21-22 & 27-28-29 (they added the Sunday dates due to popular demand).

Considering how popular it was last year, I would not be surprised to see them add another weekend (13-14-15) this time around.

Start calling for tickets the first week of August. It is a yearly ritual for me. I had called that week for 9 years and finally scored last year!

They did not have a Halloween event at the Disneyland resort for the previous 9 years.

HOpefully they will handle the selling of tickets differently this year. Last year they opened up sales to ap holders first, then planned to sell what ever was left to the public. Problem is, ap holders snapped them up so fast there wasnt any left.

We have been event starved! One financially reasonable Disney Event a year is NOT ENOUGH. I did not have $5000 to go to the 50th event and after all the complaints, am glad I didn't go. The Halloween event has basically been the only ticket purchase event since then. That is why the tickets were snatched up. They do need to make it available to the public at the same time and add nights, oh and move it back to Disneyland too. California Adventure is nice but there has been nothing like the Halloween events of the early 90s.

We did MNSSHP last year in WDW too and loved it. From what I've read, the DL one does not compare to WDW. It may be worth reading some reviews on.

Here's one case where I think WDW does a better job than DL. MNSSHP is way better than MHT, which is understandable since it's a new event here. Just adding my 2 cents on the issue since you were hoping for a similar experience. Lower expectations might be in order, and you'll probably have a better time.

thanks for all the great advise. Sounds like WDW may be hard to beat on this event but I'm always willing to try something once. Looking forward to Disneyland and CA in October as we haven't been there in 5 years.

I was reading about how people can dress up as Disney characters but can't accept photos or autographs. My sister does a flawless Alice from Alice in Wonderland and gets asked for pictures all of the time. This is one she has in her Photobucket file:

Cool, eh?
