Good Morning!

Our family is taking our first trip to Disney World soon! Our daughter is 3 and seems to get scared easily. Two years ago when we went to Disneyland she hated the characters. Well she is quite a bit older now and we talk about the characters she seems excited to meet them.

My question is do you think the MNSSHP is too scary for a 3 year old who tends to scare easily? Any tips and advice?

Thank you all so much for any input!

It's not scary at all. The park is decorated with Mickey Halloween decorations. No scary stuff like skeletons etc.

Well, there is, of course, the Haunted Mansion. We took our daughter when she was two. Absolutely loved everything at disney. But at HM, she came out of there, not crying, but stiff and silent, not very responsive at all. We asked her if that was scary, and with wide worried eyes, she nodded her head "yes." While waiting to ride, we kept telling her that nothing was real, its just for fun, that mommy and daddy were going to be right there with her, and that nothing bad would happen. ...we never told her that a ghost was going to ride in the "buggy" with us!

A few months later, like June, she became obsessed with all things spooky and halloweeny. She would pretend to go trick or treating and pretend to be dressed up as a vampire. I don't know if the ride had anything to do with it.
