I'd love some opinions on this. We could go the first Thursday (based on last year's schedule of Oct). Tour Guide Mike seems to have a positive outlook but the Unofficial Guide not so much.

I have two boys they'll be 4 & 9. Again, any insight appreciated!

Are you looking for which dates it will be because those are posted on the website or are you looking for which dates will be less crowded. As far as crowds go usually the earlier in the month, the smaller the crowds.

the event. Is it worth the price of admission we will be able to hit it early in the month - seems like there is some debate over exactly what the dates will be this year but we should be able to go either the 2nd or 3rd time they offer it.

I'm leaning towards a yes - but before I commit the extra money and the late night I'm hoping to learn all I can.

Thanks!

We went for the first time last year and LOVED it. We will no doubt go again this year. My kids loved it but I think dh and I loved it even more. The trick or treating was fun, the whole atmophere was so cool. I would love to try to go for actual Halloween next year, I bet it's a blast even though it's packed and a little more expensive. If you want less crowds, we went to the first one offered last year... Sept 30th or something like that? It was very very managable! Do it, it's worth it!

We had a great time there the last 2 years.

We went a few years ago and had a GREAT time. It was the highlight of our trip for the kids. They were absolutely thrilled and loved every minute of it. If we're ever there around Halloween again we'll make sure to attend.

I seem to remember reading these boards that because of the free dining these dates were very crowded.

Guest that had attended this event in the past were very surprised at how crowded it was. I've never done this time of year, so when people say it crowded, I don't know if it's really crowded or just more crowded. I would say check the previous attendence if it's a sold out night it's probably very crowded. Does any of this make sense "not a word of it"

We went the 3 week of October and there were no crowds. Lines for candy were very small. No wait for rides.

I know others have said it too. This party was the highlight of our trip. We will be returning this time of year next year. Can't wait!

We went to the 1st MNSSHP last year during the free dining. Although it seemed crowded as others have said, the ride wait was minimal.

We were there in '02 also and attended 2 MNSSHP later in October. The Sunday night one wasn't so bad. The Friday night one was very crowded.

We went this past October, first week, first time, and from our view, arriving right at the beginning its very crowded. Why, everyone's trying to get in and see the parade down Main Street. Once thats over, and the people start milling around to the candy stops, the crowd is less noticeable. After a couple of hours, alot of people head for the exits and the crowd is hardly there. Arriving at the start makes for a crazy time but at the end its nice and ride times are nil.
