Hi

I know i'm not going until 2007 but I was just considering dressing up for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party...do adults do it too?

If so are you allowed to dress up as a disney character?

I am wondering id there are rules about this in case other people mistake us for actual characters (unlikely)

We were there last oct and had a great time dressing up, Halloween there seems to be very different to here and plenty of people do Disney characters it really is personal choice but doesn't have to be typically halloween outfit. We had a great time favourite party of my trip. Hoping next time to go as the Simpsons now "Maggie" has joined us.

MNSSHP is great fun - whether you dress up or not.

The only "no nos" are to have your face covered, this is not allowed for obvious security reasons.

Disney characters are most definitely allowed pirate: - the Disney Store over there does a whole range, but they are expensive.

We have always got our outfits from WalMart or like shop, great range, huge amount of choices and sizes and all around $15 - 20 a go. We still have them now, using them for all sorts of things.

You find the usual Halloween'y type costumes (ghosts, witches, etc), but the American children do favour whatever cartoon or hero character is popular, too, so there really is a huge choice.

One of the other things I've been larger groups or families wearing are matching T-shirts with wacky slogans on - they really stand out when you're in a queue and they're fun, too!

Enjoy!

Adults certainly do dress up :bounce: DW has persuaded me that we should all dress up this year when we go. I do secretly think it will be even more fun weraring a costume though ;)

I'm sure I have also seen people dressed as Disney Characters in the past - one year I remember a chap being dressed up as Beast and he looked very impressive :teeth:

as is says , Not So Scary Halloween Party
so you do not see to much blood are anything like that

i noticed to a lot of familys dressed up in great T shirts too

we are going this year
not't think DS 15 will dress up

hi
we had t shirts printed with a hallow'een theme before we went used t-shirt studio. it's best not to get too dressed up as it can be quite hot and sticky still.

I think it's obvious who the "official" characters are, you can just tell. I suppose if you were to go as a Disney character I'd be prepared to wave and smile at any little ones who couldn't tell the difference but most people are in a good mood and would happily do that!

hi

does anyone have any pics from the halloween parties?

Thanks for all your advice so far, I am very excited and am now planning my costumes...should I be belle, snow white or tinkerbell?

My hubby doesn't know yet that he'll either be Jack Sparrow or my prince charming...tee hee hee :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

My DD (8) always dresses up. We usually take a costume from the UK as they are much cheaper. The last two times she has been a funky witch (from Asda) This year she is planning to be Jasmine - she has outgrown the witches!!!). People seem to wear any kind of costume related or not to the day. We bought some great cotton trousers from Old Navy with suitable design and tee-shirts from Wal-Mart. We take these every time and they seem to do the trick! :stir:

Hi

Here are some pics. I look awful as I tried to stay out of some of the pics. I was meant to look like Morticia, but failed. My dh couldnt see anything he liked so he wore a t-shirt from Universal and made his hair look different. Someone dressed up as Madhatter and they looked really good, all the kids kept asking for his autograph, it was really cute.
