Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Central 2004!!!!!! =0)

Wow! What an awesome thread! Thank-you Baloo for all of the costume info ... I didn't realize there were rules, so I'll have to keep that in mind.

I'm planning to attend MNSSHP on October 3rd and I've got a 5PM PS for LTT! I can hardly wait :)

Thanks Baloo for all the info;)

Its our first trip to 'The World' were going to MNSSHP on the 31st:crazy:

Were staying off site:( on I.D so going to Race Rock for a late lunch then heading over to MK for around 4pm.Then we shall just have a snack later on.

Were hoping to dress up 'Lilo and Stich'style my DD 9 likes the look of Lilo's green grass skirt, red **** tube, with wrist and ankle garlands,Brrrrrr do you think she'll be warm enough for an October evening, the rest of us are quite happy with a 'Hawian' shirt and garland:p

:earsgirl:

I posted this in a separate thread but thought it may be useful here:

While ordering another MNSSHP ticket two nights ago, I asked the CM what the official policy was regarding entering MK before 7pm on MNSSHP nights with only the party ticket. My in-laws are joining my family on the 26th for the MNSSHP and dinner at LTT at 5:30. They have purchased the party tickets, but do not want to us a park hopper that day just to go to dinner at 5:30. After reading many postings on this board about being allowed in as early as 4pm with the party ticket on previous years, I wanted to get the official policy that will be used by CMs this year. (I don't think having my in-laws wait for an hour and half outside the gates, while we eat dinner, will help family relations

So, after waiting for close to 15 minutes on hold, the CM told me that she spoke with her boss, who verfied that MNSSHP ticket holders will be allowed into MK starting at 4pm on the night of their party. I was relieved to get this straight from Disney, as I was picturing my in-laws being turned away at the gate and told to return at 7pm.

Excellent deal in my opinion: 8 hours in the park, plus all of the party perks for $30+

We were there Halloween 2003. It was plenty warm enough. But I'm sure that could really go either way. Plan the costume so you can layer up or down.

were going to go look for costume ideas at a local store here, but our back up plan is to be fred and wilma.

I made my PS for LTT this morning. The CM had to check and see if they were booking it already (even though I knew they were.)

whoa, Whoa, WHOA . . . wait just a minute!

Do you mean we can book a PS NOW for our MNSSHP night? Do you have to have the tickets purchased already, or can you book the PS and buy the ticket later? I know I need to purchase the tix soon, but I need some time before I'm 100% positive that we're going.

Do you mean we can book a PS NOW for our MNSSHP night?

absolutely! I did it when I purchased my tickets for the 10/26 MNSSHP. I bought my tickets on the day that they went on sale.

You can only book a PS for LTT now. Anyplace else still follows the 90 day rule.

This is our first time at MNSSHP....my question is how early do we need to find a spot to stand for the parade?? Does it get as crowded as normal parades where people are sitting on the sidewalk an hour before it starts??

Also, has anybody watched from the liberty bell area where the story of HH is read first?? How did that go? Was it too crowded there to enjoy or worth it to hear the story first?? Thanks!!

Woohoo!! Just purchased MNSSHP tickets today....DH and I have never been to Disney around a special time of year, so we are excited.

Now, to just decide on a costume for DH  - time to rev up the sewing machine! ::yes::

I told him he could be a pirate :pirate: , but not sure he would be comfortable in that costume (even though I think he would make a good pirate).

I doubt we will be able to get reservations for LTT, so we may go ahead and plan on Crystal Palace. I may TRY to get a PS, but won't count on it!! Seems to be the popular choice!

I thank you for all the tips Baloo. This will be the first time we take our toddler daughter princess: to Disney with us and the second time we will be going back this year with our son pirate: . We are going to be attending the Halloween Party on Halloween itself and we are looking so forward to it. We live in the North so we are use to having to bundle the kids up to go Trick or Treating. You buy these wonderful costumes only to be hidden under columbia jackets because it is snowing outside :umbrella:

As far as the crowds :crowded: I do not think that 25,000 people (if maxed out) is all that bad when you think of that being a normal slow day. Envision Spring break or Christmas Week. Anyways, it is all to have a wonderful time on a fun Holiday afterall. No need to complain! :wizard:

I have heard the later you stay into the evening, the fewer the people too. I plan on making my kids nap so that we can stay till the park closes!::MinnieMo

Their heads may be spinning the next day, but that is ok. That is the day we are flying home :space:

Halloween night will be busy as it is usually a sell out. I would really love to know how many tickets are sold for a sell out. I have been to MK Easter week and at some points the crowds were comparable. Last year Halloween was on a Friday and the crowds didn't really thin out until closer to 11-11:30 pm. I really thought they'd thin out after the first parade.

Baloo, I'm so thankful you started this thread! Otherwise, I would have never known about the early booking of LTT for our party date.

I took a step of faith and purchased my MNSSHP tix earlier today. After the CM gave me my order #, I asked if I could make a reservation for the LTT. I had my pick of the schedule for the 8th. I chose 5:15 since we're driving from TX, and we won't actually be checking in at POFQ until earlier that that same day (:eek:I hope our room will be ready early).

DD wants to be Mulan (warrior Mulan, not future-bride Mulan). Now, I just have to figure out how I can make that costume with cool/lightweight fabrics, that is, IF I can even make it at all. I wonder if DH & I should dress up this time . . . we never have before. Could be fun!

Hi! I hope that you do dress up in a costume. I plan to too. I just have to figure out what will look good on me, not be so warm and not be danger of getting caught up in any of the rides! My DH is going to be a tough sell though! Wish me luck!!

'Hi again! I was wondering if anyone is going on the 29th**MNSSHP? We We'll be there at the LTT at 5:20pm ** I think that it would be fun to see another DIS**family there at the same time!!:)

:hyper: I got my tickets today by post,i orderd them last Sunday:hyper:

Great postage system from the U.S.A:smooth:

They look soooo sweet 2 with Donald on 1 with Minnie on and 1 with Goofy (4 tixs in all)

All ready for the 31st now i can relaxxxx:laughing:

This is the first year for us going to MNSSHP, and we are excited. I ordered our tickets yesterday and was surprised that you do not have to specify a date in which to use the tickets.

I wonder how they know how many tickets to sell?? She did ask me for the dates we would be at WDW, but that was it - nothing about which date we wanted to attend. I did ask, and she said that we can use them for any party that week we are there.

I often hear that Halloween night sells out, but I wonder how they know? Is that a special ticket you have to purchase?

just wondering - seemed weird, but since this is our first time, this may just be how it is done!!

I would call back and talk with someone else. That sounds wrong to me. THey have never had the tickets open-ended like that before. Talk to someone and ask what day you purchased. I would resolve this BEFORE your tickets arrive as it will be easier to fix. I could be wrong but it doesn't sound right.

All the tickets I've bought have the date of party printed on the back.

Let us know if you call back what they say.

Sharon78 ~ You actually received tickets and not vouchers for the tickets in the mail? SWEET! Now I'm even more excited to get mine! I ordered last Sunday too, Hopefullly they'll be here soon! Also, did they have the date of the party you're attending printed on the back of them? THANKS!

This happened to me also! I wonder if we had the same CM.

I had to wait until the next day to call and find out what date they were booked for. It is not in the system until then. I called the ticketing # and she looked it up for me. They were booked for the correct date (October 3). I DO NOT remember giving her that date at all! Maybe she just got lucky and picked the right one! :p

I would call and confirm. They should be able to switch it for you if they are the wrong date. :)
