Has anyone here been to Mickey's Magic Show?

I see it's coming to our town in October. I showed my son - who is 11 - and he was like 'that sounds cool' - but **is* it cool?

He's 11 - is it seriously for wee-ones? What's it like? Anyone been to one?

Any input is appreciated! :thumbsup2

We haven't been, but it's coming here Oct. 28. That's my mom's birthday, so I bought a ticket for my mom and dad for her present. There's a group of nine of us going -- DD4 is very excited and DD19 said she wanted to go to!

We were at WDW last month when Mickey's Magic Show was at MGM, although we didn't make it over there to see the show. I overheard someone talking about it though who had been to it and saying how good it was.

Disney always has excellent shows. This should be no different.

Hey I was going to post this question too - I think we're going to the one in Rosemont - but its awfully close to our annual Rockettes show the day after Thanksgiving.....decisions decision.

I saw the show at MGM in August. It was a scaled down version (only about 20 minutes long) but it was GREAT! The magic was done by a man in his 20's, who was a great performer. There were a LOT of characters in the show too. Singing and dancing galore.

If it's coming around here, I'd definitely go see it.

OP, I think your son would enjoy it. I think it's a show for all ages.

We were looking at Rosemont too!

Yeah - $15 for opening night. Sounds like I might do it! :thumbsup2

Definitely go!!! We went when it was here in Raleigh, and our entire family LOVED it! They incorporate all the characters into the show. There are a lot of little kids there, but I still think an 11 year old would enjoy it. DH and I are almost 40 and we had a blast!!! DS7+4 had a great time, too! They now want magic kits for Christmas.

We went to the one at MGM and really liked it. DS wants to the see the longer show when it comes to town, so we will have to watch for it (tho I think we already missed it).

He's 6 and really likes magic, so it was very interesting to him. There are princesses - do you think your 11 yr. old DS would mind that? ;)

Can anyone tell me how long the show lasts? We're going in Rosemont as well!

Okay, how about the *opposite* end of the age scale? :rotfl2: Do you guys think this show would be any good for two (kid-at-heart) adults w/o kids? :confused3 Thanks in advance! :)

The info I have says it is 90 minutes long with a 15 minute intermission.

As far as the "opposite end of the age scale", when I asked my mom if she wanted to go, she didn't understand at first that it was a Disney magic show. When she asked me later who the magician was and I told her Mickey Mouse, she said "Oh I'd like that even better!" :rotfl:

If you go to http://www.disneylive.com there are pictures and a video of the show to see.

DH and I really like the show and we had to sit through the one at MGM twice! And we still want to take the kids to see the longer one.

We're going to see it in Rosemont too. I already have our tix for the 15th.
I pretty much bought them without even researching the show, LOL.
Mickey & Magic, sounds good to us.
