Hi Everyone

I have never been to mickey's halloween party before. Can anyone tell me if it is worth the extra money? Are the parks over crowded for this event. Are the lines longer for the rides? I am staying in disney but my nephew isn't. Do you have to stay in disney for this event? Or can anyone go?

Please get back to me about this. We are going for Oct 5-12 and i need to buy my tickets before they sell out.

thank you .... Nancy::MinnieMo

Tickets are around $32/ person and the appeal is shorter lines. They only sell a certain # of tickets so that you don't wait long for rides. The only place we seen longer lines was fantasyland. Trick or treating is fun for the kids and the parade is pretty good. Anyone can buy a ticket.

No need to worry about a sell out for your dates. However, I like to have my tickets in advance too, so I'd still purchase them as soon as I was able.

My family and I LOVE this event! We have been two times in the past, and we plan to go again this year. I definitely think it is worth it. The parade is totally different, the decor is wonderfully "scary," and the trick or treating is nice too. OH--and you must pay attention to the castle during the fireworks....there's a "treat" (or would it be a "trick") in store.

The lines are shorter for most rides during this event in early October. For the very lightest crowds, I'd try to go on a week night if at all possible. I noticed your dates end on the 12th, and there is a party that night, but I don't know if you will actually be at WDW that night or not. If you are, I'd pick that night over the 8th if you can. I've heard the locals usually try to attend this event on Friday nights more often than on the week nights. Either way, I think you're pretty safe with the crowds no matter which night you select since it is so early in the month.

Please go! You'll be so glad you did. :)

thank you for such a fast response. I have to go on the 8th. We are coming home on the 12th. My husband has a convention at one of the resorts, for work and me and my son and nephew are going park hopping. I am happy that my husband will be able to come with us that night though.::MinnieMo

I have another question? When you buy your tickets in advance, do you pick them up when you check in or do they mail you them?:earsgirl:

We got our tickets about a week after I ordered them. They come in a non-descript envelope that has a return address as Lake Buena Vista. Be sure to check for it so as not to accidentally throw it away thinking it's junk mail. Our tickets look like credit cards but with characters on them, ours are 2 Minnies, 1 Donald and 1 Mickey. The date of your party are on the back. You have to call Disney to order them as there are no other places, or email sites that I know of to get them anywhere else. We are going to be at WDW the same exact times as your family too! We will be the family dressed as characters from The Nightmare before Christmas (DH-Jack, DD-Zero the dog, and myself as Sally. My 14 year old son refuses to wear NBC stuff, so he will be the "oddball" haha.)

this is our first time too! my husband and i won't be dressed up , but my daughter will be a pumpkin and i will be really preganant so you can't miss us! heather:earsgirl:

you had us thinking all night. I was messanging my nephew all night with idea's on halloween costumes. I am so excited about this trip. It is not getting here fast enough.

We attended MNSSHP a few years ago and LOVED it.
We already have our tickets for MNSSHP Halloween night and REALLY looking forward to it!
I even have our PS at LTT. :Pinkbounc
It's worth the extra $.

I think i am going to be a rag doll. I can probably make the costume myself. I can't wait. I am so happy i didn't plan this trip along time ago. I would of drove everyone nuts!!!!!!::MinnieMo

Don't forget that several people have posted that they were able to enter the park as early as 4:00pm with their MNSSHP tickets. That adds another three hours of park time...makes the price of the tickets an even better deal!!!

I am so excited. I think we are going to have dinner at the liberty tavern. We had Easter dinner there in 2002. I am hoping the parks are not as crowded as it was on that easter. LOL

We went last October the same week. It was wonderful! Bought tickets online & they were mailed to us. Not everyone dresses up, I put my son in disney buzz lightyear short pjs, so when he fll asleep I put him right to bed. The lines for the free candy were a little long in spots, and it is only 1 small piece each. Pick & choose carefully. The ride lines are shorter. The parade is fantastic - be sure to get a seat early, we sat in front of the castle, same for the fireworks. I remember there was an issue with our stroller & we had to park it way behind us. By the time the parade starts the seating/standing is 3 people deep. Make sure to go for the Free pictures - you'll receive it a few weeks later in the mail, glad we waited in that line!
