Is the park ALWAYS super crowed during this time period? We want to go for a week mid October for my daughter birthday, will the parks be crowded all week or just the nights of the parties?

We have went the last week of April and we enjoy that time because the crowds are low (low compared to summer, i know not to ever expect no crowds) and with toddlers it just makes it easier. Whats a realistic expectation for visiting the park that time of year?

Also if you are there for several days and you buy a ticket to the Halloween party is it only good for one day or for all the days the party occurs during your trip?

Party tickets are sold for individual days.
We have found the week leading up to Halloween to be reasonable. Or even the week before.

When you know the day you want to attend a Party, buy your tickets. The past few years tickets have sold out.

What days mid October are you looking at? Halloween Time has become increasingly busier. 10 years ago we would go mid October and all the ride wait times would be 20 min or less, not the case anymore. This year we changed our annual Oct trip to Aug to see what the crowd difference will be like. Figment has a thread going that shows all the different events and school breaks that might have an impact on crowds so that would be helpful to look at. I've been to 3 MHPs and they are super fun! You get entry into the park 3 hours before the party starts so during that time it's quite busy but once the party starts we've always felt the crowds were quite manageable and ride wait times lower than the other days during our trip.

It seems to me, if I am understanding correctly, that your questions are more specific to the crowds during Halloween Time, and not really just about Mickey's Halloween Party (as the title suggests). I bring this up because we get a lot of repetitive or even identical threads popping up about Halloween Time -- most of the time there don't need to be that many separate threads -- so it helps if people are as specific and exact as possible in the titles of the threads. :goodvibes

Halloween Time is a popular season. You won't be able to avoid some crowds. Everyone wants to go when it's going to be less busy, and then the less busy times end up becoming busier! It won't be on the level of Christmas to New Year's crowds, but October has gotten much busier in the last 6 or 7 years. In the 3 hours leading up to the start of the party on any given night, it will be extra busy because non-party guests will be in the park with party guests.

The party tickets are always just for one party night only, and you have to buy the tickets for the specific date you want.

ETA: If there happens to be rain or a chance of rain, for any reason, that will keep some of the crowds away.

This is the thread that Imdboss mentioned: 2015 Calendar of Events & School Breaks and DLR.

As others have said, the MHP ticket is only good for the party on the date specified on the ticket. You do get to get into the park three hours before the party starts with the MHP tickets (so, if the party starts at 6:00 pm, you can enter DL using the party ticket starting at 3:00 pm). The MHP tickets does not allow you eetrance into DCA (it's not a hopper), nor can you enter earlier than 3 hours before the party starts. As mentioned the park does generally feel busier during the three hour overlap period when MHP and day-guests are both in the park.

In terms of October in general, it depends a little on when you're going. I do think the weekdays tend to be calmer than the weekends, but I wouldn't go expecting walk-on attractions and no crowds. October is very popular between HalloweenTime, school breaks, and a number of other events that draw in the crowds.
