That Halloween Trick or Treat thing they have in Oct- is it worth the extra cost? My gf raves about it but we did the MIckey's Very Merry Christmas Party at Disneyworld 2 years ago and totally felt it wasn't worth the $39 per person. That's a huge chunk of money for us since there are 4 of us.

Is it just a bunch of trick or treating? How are the lines?

TIA,
Kelly

Totally worth it... we went on a Thursday nite the week before Halloween, saw a ton of characters and rode darned near every ride with no wait time... Only had to go back to DCA for Aladdin & Talk with Crush... (dd too little for GRR)... got a ton of chocolate too, and only went to 3 of the stations...

My nieces really enjoyed going last Oct. My sister plans on taking them again this year. Our group consisted of 3 adults, 2 kids and 1 infant and we came home with a ton of candy, sliced apples and carrots sticks.

Yes, it is mostly a bunch of trick or treating. Though there are a LOT of characters out and about, so it's a great opportunity to see them if you're into that. Otherwise it's mainly a chance to ride the rides when the lines are fairly short, though we had a 30-minute wait for Tower of Terror last year. There's no special fireworks show like there is at the WDW parties. Also not much of a parade, though it was better last year, so I'm hoping they will add more to it this year.

I think it's fun - a lot of the CMs are in costume and everyone seems to be having a good time. The Halloween decorations are cool - they project spider webs on the sides of buildings and even on Grizzly Peak and Orange Stinger. There was a jack-o-lantern pumpkin projected on the loop in California Screamin' the first two years, but not last year because of the construction of Toy Story Mania...but I hope that will be back this year.

My friend Disneyluvr2 and I went last year. We are definetly adults. We had a terrific time. There are candy stations set up all over the place. They also handed out apple slices, raisins and carrots. There were bands set up with dancing at every stage location, that included cast members and characters dancing. The decorations were especially nice. I really liked the creativity of Candy Corn Acres. I do not remember any waiting in lines for attractions. We dressed up in costumes. I was surprised at how many adults did not dress up. I do think it was worth the cost and I would probably do it again.:tink:

Is the party only at California Adventure or do they have stuff going on at DL also? It sounds like so much fun and I'd love to be able to go!

We went on a Thursday night last October and loved it! Met tons of characters, the lines were short, and realy enjoyed the parade. :thumbsup2 Although, if you didn't enjoy the MVMCP I'm not sure. We've done the MVMCP twice at WDW and loved it.

thanks for the replies. We'll have to see. It might be one of those things that we just have to do once so we can say we did. My dd is 11 this month and she probably won't be trick-or-treating too much longer so we may have to take advantage just for this reason.
