Mickeys halloween party...Whos going when?

Thought it would be nice to start a thread to find out who is going to the halloween party;what date and planned costume;
Here's ours.

We arrive the next day (2nd October) but we aren't doing the Halloween party. Are you going to take your costumes with you or sort the out there? Remember to consider the heat factor when putting them together. Sounds like you are going to have fun!

Tuesday 26th October (yet to buy tickets)

DD - witch

me - orange t shirt customised to look like a halloween pumpkin. Or a cat to go with DD - got ears and draw whiskers on.

DH - ??? probably as himself. I did offer to look for an orange t shirt so we could be matching pumpkins but he declined.

No. First time I'm going at this time of the year. I toyed with the idea for a long time, but DD has always hated the Halloween dress up things. She is quite happy with the autumn themed decorations and things but doesn't handle people dressed up for it. When they do the Halloween school parade I actually have to send someone to the school to fetch her before the kids start dressing up so it didn't make sense to buy the tickets. Maybe I will try a slightly later trip and do MVMCP. I know she will love that.

Lucky you x I,m soooo jealous. We went last year and it was, for me, one of the most special nights ever. The costumes, we all dressed up , even characters I hadnt seen on previous visits. A little tip though if no-ones mentioned it ... you do get a bag as you go in for the sweets you collect .. but take an extra bigger one to tip them into, you can collect LOADS

We have been to the party a few times now and have always dressed up, its really good fun but i would say don't dress too elaborate or make your costume too heavy , it was so hot on all the nights we were there
although the costumes are great to see and possibly you get more cast interaction and guest interaction but we saw lots of people who weren't dressed up.

It was great fun.When we were there last time with our friends our DH's dressed as the Blues Brothers and they reaction they had was out of this world.
This time when we go its only our family so we are not planning to get dressed up. Think we going 12th October.

We are doing it on Sunday 17th October. I already have my Alice in Wonderland outfit . . . we are divided on DH's. He wants to be Indiana Jones, which doesn't exactly go with Alice! But most Mad Hatter costumes I can find are so naff that I think he will have to be Indiana!!!!

Thanks guys .I have looked at several costumes and trying to find a light weight one as I know how hot it can get. WE are going to take a change of clothes and put in a locker incase it gets too hot.DB now says he will go as a vampire and may just wear a white shirt with blood stains etc.

thanks for the tip about the sweets.I think I saw a thread on here once about the sweets and the huge amounts given out. DD will be bouncin off the walls

we are going on the 31st (DH birthday ) going with another family and our costumes are -
Me - supergirl
DH- Batman
DS - Ghostbuster

Friends , wonderwoman , robin , and there son as freddy the children did not want to follw our theme as super heros .

Have a great time everyone we love the party last time we went we went with the same family and we have a wizard of Oz theme and we spent most of the evening with people asking us for photos and autographs I have never laughed so much , lets hope we have just a good as time this October

Can't decide whether to dress up or not.

Hi we where never asked to stop and we saw many people taking pictures of each other with out any probs

When my Dh and friends Dh were dressed as Blues brothers , they were asked lots of time to pose for photos, the atmosphere was fab and the reaction the that the guys got was out of this world. Even a couple of CMs wanted their pictures taken with the guys, it was so cool.
