is it worth it? My folks are going for their first ever trip to the world. Would this be a good event for them?

Would they enjoy seeing alot of people in the park dressed up? Or the characters dressed up? Or a different parade?

For me I like the whole ambiance of the evening.

My Dh and I went in October 2003 when just he and I were at WDW celebrating our 35th anniversery. We did not dress up (I wore a Halloween shirt my dh just wore one of his golf shirts.) We had a lot of fun. There were a lot of couples without children there. Also the party is a limited event so the lines for rides are often quite short. Most of the rides and attractions are open. The Characters are all dressed in their costumes. The parade is
a Halloween one. The park is decorated for Halloween. We saw Cinderella's coach surrounded by pumkins just behind the castle and took pictures of it.
And if your parents like fireworks the ones at the party are breathtaking. I heard this year they are supposed to be even more spectacular.
We are taking our dd,dsil and our grandson in a few weeks for his first Disney trip and his very first MNSSHP!
Hope your parents have fun at Disney.

hi
my dh and i are 60++! we went to the halloween party last year and can't wait to go again this year. i had t shirts printed and we bought hats at walmart it was great fun. the parades especially the headless horseman leading it are brilliant as are the fireworks. we go in 6 days time and party on sept 30th. go youll enjoy it :cheer2:  :cheer2:

While just a young'un at fifty something, DH and I have really enjoyed 3 MNSSHPs. I love to get my face painted, to trick or treat (donate the candy to my teen), love the dancing butlers from HM, and the Villains float in the parade. It's a lot of fun.

I think I shall mention it to my parents then.

Susan1...they would be there the same day as you if tickets are still available. Their trip is the 27th -2nd....they are so excited to see WDW for the first time.

Make sure you encourage them to trick or treat and not be embarassed, my Mom70, had a ball last year! We will be there that night, lots of mini-meets set up for then! :cool1:
