Mickey's Halloween Family Fun Run 5K

Although its a little late in opening, you can now register for this event. It is the morning of the Wine and Dine Half Marathon.



Saturday, October 2, 2010
7:00 a.m.

Start: Happy Parking Lot at Magic Kingdom® Park
Finish: West Beach outside of Magic Kingdom® Park

This 5K will take you on a one-of-a-kind Halloween themed course through the Magic Kingdom® Park. Adults, teens and tweens can be immersed in the fantasy of Halloween and dress up as their favorite character or villain! This is the ultimate race around the neighborhood - race to the finish to receive your "trick or treat bag of refreshments". Don't miss your opportunity to run on the only 5K course through Magic Kingdom® Park and the unforgettable finish on West Beach.

Mickey's Halloween Family Fun Run 5K features:

* Only 5K course through Magic Kingdom® Park
* Halloween themed Disney entertainment on-course
* Event Weekend Transportation from the Event Host Resorts only

Each participant's Mickey's Halloween Family Fun Run 5K registration includes:

* Race Registration

* Personalized Bib (must register by August 2, 2010 for name to appear on bib)

Registered for the 5k I ill be there... I will not be able to use the Halloween ticket, does anyone know if I can just give it away to soemone else? or do "I" have to use it??...also stupit question? you have o pick up your packet at teh espn complex on Friday, what is the best way to get there from MK?

How do i pick up the package? Is their buses to the pick up? Will it take forever? Also are their buses to the MK at 6 am or so??

If the 5k is like the Half marathon, you can take a bus from one of the host resorts (ASSports, ASMusic, ASMovies, POR, POFQ, Poly or BC) to the WWoS on Friday from 12p-8p.

The buses will go to the MK from those resorts ONLY on Saturday morning in time for the 5k. Otherwise, you have to provide your own transportation.

I'm running the half that night, and hoping we'll be able to walk "home" from EPCOT to BWI.

DH and I really want to do this, but as we are leaving early on October 3rd, we are unable to use the ticket for the party that night. Wish they would allow you to pay for just the race. Hard to justify paying $200 for a 5k!

Oh, duh, I thought they meant the Wine & Dine party. Oops. We're leaving midday on the 3rd, and just bit the bullet and paid for the Halloween party on the 1st.

That's my plan. Play hard all weekend, sleep from MCO to DTW...and maybe catch a nap on Tuesday (Wednesday if I extend my stay) on the couch at work....

Yeah, my plan involves very little sleep. We'll be sleeping in the morning of the 1st (we have a late Boma breakfast res), but I plan on making rope drop on the 2nd, and our 8AM ADR on the 3rd at Cape May. Sleep is for sissies.

Yeah we are leaving the night of OCt 2nd, so I will not be able to use my ticket weither, but found it a good oppertunity to share a little Disney magic and give the ticket to someone who can use it. See everyone at the Race....only 3 weeks left...

I'm running the 5k with Evie (DD9 ), and then I'm doing the half marathon that night.

It will be a Daddy/Daughter trip. Maggie (DD12 ), is coming too to cheer on her sister in the 5K, and then babysit for me for the half.

I'll be running my first 5K...I have been training since March(also lost 50 lbs )....this is a BIG GOAL for me. Can't wait!
