What can you tell me about the BBQ? My kids are 6 and 8. I am looking for a meal with entertainment other than HDDR. Is it just a meal and music or is there guest participation?

The food is similar to HDD-- following info copied from allearsnet.com
All-You-Can-Eat Buffet:

BBQ pork ribs, baked chicken, hot dogs with all the fixin's, corn-on-the-cob, baked beans, macaroni and cheese, potato salad, corn bread, watermelon, marble cake.

Unlimited draft beer, wine, lemonade, and iced tea.

When we went back in 2003, there were CMs who did rope tricks, taught country line dancing, opportunities for meeting characters in Western wear, and special songs for folks celebrating an anniversary, birthday, etc. There were several opps for children to dance with characters. The tables are long lines of picnic tables, and the food is served buffet style, so sometimes I've read posts from people with little ones in strollers who had a hard time both getting food and then getting somewhere to sit.

DH and I had a great time.

If you decide to go to this, you should arrive a few minutes early to get a good seat. We didn't know that they let you in early and when we arrived right on time, the best seats were already taken.

Ifound the food swimming in grease and the character interaction to be chaotic. After watching some of the kids at the BBQ i would fear the 6 year old would get trampled. Have you thought about Ohana's as a substitute maybe?
