Mickey's BBQ

Can someone tell me how the Mickey's BBQ is setup? Is it outside?

I am asking as I have reservations for 8 but there is 9 of us now and not availability. there is a 2 year old, but apparently they still count.

Trying to decide if we show up and they won't let the 9th person in..what do we do.

Is the BBQ near one of the other Fort Wilderness (trails end) restuarants that the ONE person would have to leave and go eat by themselves ???

HI!! Mickey's Backyard BBQ is set up like a picnic....it is in a covered pavilion and the tables are long picnic tables. I don't see why they would not let you in. I don't believe you have to pay for children under two anyway. They can eat from the parents plate...being all you can eat it is easy to allow the child to do that. There are no other events like this is....and the kids will love it! My children were 8 and 4 the first time we went. Hope this helps you!!! Have a great time on your vaca

that is what I am hoping that we can show up.

the weird thing is Disney counts the 2 year as a person for seating arrangements due to filre marshall law etc...but they don't have to pay.

Can you tell I have been asking Disney about it. And of course Disney Dining says they won't let them in.

You can keep trying and get a reservation, but this must be paid for in advance and than you have a ticket to get in so you will not be able to just show up in the group in get in. I would try to keep calling and even check at the ticket window when you pick up your tickets they may have an availability. It has to be cancelled 48 hrs in advance so that would be a good time to try.

I don't think they will let you in, if the last add on is an adult. They collect the tickets before you even go up to the event. I would keep calling nearly daily and stalk them. Crying, what ever, hopefully 1 person canceld before then GOOD LUCK!

1) I doubt you can get the last person in.
2) You do not pay like at most eateries.
3) The dinner shows (incl BBQ) have tickets paid in advance.
4) Without the tix, you can't get admitted even to the hostess station.

I would think because most 2 year olds sit in a high chair and that is going to take up a spot and can you imagine if they let all under 3's in without reserving a spot for them, because they eat free the place would be packed. With fire codes a person is a person not matter what size.

I even talked to the concierge at the Poly today and they said no due to fire codes...

oh well..we will keep calling for cancelations
