Has anyone tried this at Fort Wilderness? Is it fun? Is it worth it? We'll be with an almost-5 girl and an almost-3 boy.

I was wondering this myself just the other day and did a search on this board. Reviews are mixed.

We did this in June. 10 adults and 6 girls from 17yo down to 1yo. This was actually one of the highlights of our trip. The weather was horrible. Torrential downpour and we all got soaked on the walk there. But they had towels for everyone to dry off and we found our seat adn began eating the wonderful food.
The character interaction was excellent. The kids loved dancing with mickey and Minnie, Chip and Dale and others. It was very casual and relaxed.
Our kids enjoyed this a lot more than they did the Hoop Dee Doo.

We brought our grandchildren to the BBQ last year. As an illustration of how everyone is different, they refuse to return there, and always want to do HDDR instead. None of us really cared for it, but as I say everyone is different. Try it and see for yourself. If your children like standing in lines to see characters, they may enjoy this.

We did this in April. Our DD's were 14, 11 & 11 at the time & we probably won't go back just because we felt our DD's were a little told for it. However...........................I think with children the ages of yours that they will have a great time.

Like a previous poster said, the character interaction was great. We did enjoy the dancing, etc., & all the younger children enjoyed it even more.

We thought the food was mediocre - ribs a little tough & the corn a little chewy, but the cake was great!!!
