Mickey's Backyard BBQ or Chef Mickey?

Which would you do on arrival night? It will be myself and DS4. We are staying at WL. I have a CM dinner booked, but I've been reading some really bad reviews and was thinking of switching to the BBQ. Any opinions?

When are you going? I believe Mickey's BBQ is only offered on certain nights. I've never been but it's in my plans for our next trip because I hear it's a blast. There's nothing wrong with Chef Mickey's. The characters are great- my kids love it. The food is your typical buffet food- nothing amazing but nothing horrible either. It's very busy and very noisy but I'm sure your DS would love it. As with most Disney character dining- your paying for the experience not the food.

We are going the last week in August/first week in September coming in on a Saturday. I checked and they do have it on a Saturday. We are leaving the next Sunday so I guess we could always do both, one on arrival and one the night before we leave.

If you have arrival issues and miss MBBBQ you will get charged full price regardless. CM will only gig you $10. I would never plan a dinner show on an arrival day.
