Mickey's Backyard BBQ GONE????

A friend of ours just tried booking Mickey's Backyard BBQ for February or March, and was told that as of January, 2019, there will be NO MORE Mickey's Backyard BBQ!! Our family is devastated!!!!! It was our favorite dining experience......especially since it was right there at FW!! Has anyone else heard such a thing?

Yep about halfway down the first page on the Camping Board.

It's also been on the Rumors Board.

My speculation is as such: they are doing business until end of year. Then they have normally shut down for several weeks while it was very cold in the evenings and resumed business in early spring. My guess is that the early spring resumption is what will not take place. Which means by then the DVC River Country property will be getting started (demolishing structures in the way like the BBQ pavilion).

Supposedly plans are/were to rebuild the BBQ Pavilion behind the Settlement Trading Post. But who knows?
