Is this a good idea? MBBBQ reservations are for 5:30 and P&P Cruise is at 8:45, I've booked them both the CM said it was plenty of time on the phone but now I'm second guessing myself. Also the desserts at BBQ include Mickey Bars which my kids are crazy about but I'm reading it's also at P&P Cruise so maybe it won't be as special.

I'm also thinking maybe just skip P&P that night and go to the Chip and Dale campfire after BBQ?

My other concern is P&P will leave us not getting back to OKW until midnight or later and we have an 8:00 ADR at Akershusthe next morning plus a busy day at Epcot planned.

Decisions, decisions!

My kids are 11, 10, and 8 so they can handle late nights but I don't want to make it too much since it is our arrival day and we have an early flight.

The chip and Dale campfire is great fun and you can also watch the fireworks from the beach at the campground. With an early ADR I wouldn't stay out that late, especially if you are using Disney transport. Think about what time you will need to be at the bus stop for a 8 am ADR at Akershus, probably 6:30 to make sure you make it in time. That means getting everyone up and dressed at 5ish in the morning. If you don't get back til after midnight that's less than 5 hours of sleep.

For whats it worth I've done the P&P cruise and thought it was a huge waste of money. I did not care for the view of the fireworks at all. Also we had fog delay the fireworks the night we did it and were on the boat forever, consider that you might be getting back later than you think.

Thank you very much for your honest opinion! The P&P cruise will be over $300 for us since my kids are Disney adults :crazy2: and from what I'm reading a lot depends on where you sit and there are no guarantees. Maybe I'll skip it this year...

Yes, do Chip and Dale after the BBQ! Ft. W is so much fun. You can even visit the horses at the stables!

We did P&P about 2 years ago and, while we enjoyed it, there is no way I could eat a big meal like MBBBQ, that includes dessert and THEN go to P&P. The amount of dessert they put out for that event is beyond belief. I think you would be too full from the BBQ to even enjoy the dessert buffet, so it's kind of a waste of money from that perspective. If you really want to see the fireworks, you could also boat over to CR and watch the fireworks from the 4th observation deck - that's free!!
