Is it worth the money? WOuld you do it? What was it like...I have heard mixed reviews!

We had a nice time at the BBQ, the food was pretty good (all you can eat buffet) and the show was a little hokey, but fun. It consisted of Country and Western singers, a roping Cowboy and line dancing lessons and of course several characters on hand dancing with children and folks on the big open dance floor. Overall, we enjoyed it and the children did especially but I don't think it's something we would consider doing again. It was a little pricey, but then again, it is Disney!

My children absolutely loved it. If you are interested in getting some quality time with the characters, this was the best thing you can do. My daughters got to dance with Chip, Dale, Mickey and Goofy. They talk about it all the time. Most of the character meals only get a few seconds with each character, an autograph and a picture. We got lots of character time with this one. Also, the free beer as part of the beverage options was a nice option at the end of a hectic day at Disney.

i have to agree w/Deweysgirl. would not consider doing it again. prefer the HDD!

My family and I loved it. Good opportunity for autographs, country/western music, line dancing, etc. which for us is out of the ordinary, and eveyone had a great time.

I would agree with the above descriptions, but I think a lot of what goes into whether you will enjoy this dinner show is the time of year you visit. Remember, the dinner & show are held in an outdoor pavilion. We went in early June - very hot, humid & crowded. Although my kids did do the line dancing & had fun, there were just entirely too many people there to get any real time with the characters. We've had much better interaction at regular character meals. The food was just ok - but the flies were horrible. The heat just sapped your energy & we were ready to go before the time was over.

I am so torn! Thanks everyone for your replies...we are going the last week of March. So the weather should be good. It sounds like fun but sooooo expensive! Maybe I should take the attitude...make the PS once we are there and if they have an opening then it was meant to be!

Keep in mind that it's outdoors, and all that activity on a hot humid night may not be to your liking. HDDoo is indoors, nice and cool.
