Do they sell Mickey Waffle irons anywhere in WDW? Maybe at that one place in DTD with all the cooking supplies in it?

It would be so neat to be able to make them at home!

No I asked the same question in January and they told me no. You can get Mickey and friends waffle maker on Disney shopping but not like at WDW! I went on ebay and found some old ones in really good condition though!

I bought one several years ago from Disney shopping over the internet for my grandkids but the waffles were regular size and not the small ones served at WDW. I haven't seen them for sale recently.

I bought a large Mickey waffle iron at Liquidation World for $10. They were selling for over $50 in the Sears catalogue for Christmas. That was a few years ago now. In the Sears catalogue they also had a Pooh and Tigger waffle iron.

Yes at DTD at the kitchen shop off of Earl of Sandwich they had them there in Oct, along with a Mickey Toaster

I also saw them in DTD just last month. I was looking at all the different things I could get for my Disney kitchen and pointed it out to DD because she loved the Mickey waffles while we were there.

I bought one on ebay and we make them all the time. My son has dairy allergies so it is a special treat for him!

Yes they do . You can either go to Disney.com, Ebay , The Kitchen store in the mall near me had them or call Disney Merchandise adn they might be able to help you.

Which one do they carry? The mini waffle or the large mickey? I'll take either one.

I've been searching for a Mickey Waffle iron for years now and can NEVER find one!!

I hope they have it in June!!

There's also a store in MK where i've seen em. It's the store when you pass from fantasyland going towards the haunted mansion and you're kinda under a bridge kind of thing and then there's that store right on the right side that has lots of pins and stuff??

I know the store your talking about! It used to be the Smuckers Jam shop!

Does anyone recall how much they're selling for? If I can get my hands on one, I can use my Birthday Fun Card!

Disney Announce Recall of Mickey's Waffle Irons
WASHINGTON, D.C. - In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), The Walt Disney Co., of Burbank, Calif., is voluntarily recalling more than 1,300 electric waffle irons. The waffle irons are improperly wired, presenting fire, shock and electrocution hazards to consumers.

Disney has received one report of a waffle iron catching on fire at the wall socket. No injuries or property damage was reported.

The waffle irons were manufactured by Vitantonio Products. The wiring was installed improperly during the manufacturing process. Vitantonio is a former licensee of Disney Consumer Products and is no longer in business. However, out of concern for consumer safety, Disney immediately agreed to conduct the recall itself and provide consumers with an incentive to return the waffle irons. Disney is offering consumers who participate in this recall a $70 gift voucher good for use in The Disney Catalog.

The waffle iron is chrome and black. It is made in a "clam-shell" design, and when the top lid is opened, a Mickey Mouse face is revealed on the cooking surfaces, which measure 7 inches in diameter. "Vitantonio Premier Mickey's Waffler The Walt Disney Co." is on a metallic label on the handle. Only waffle irons with three-prong plugs bearing model number 1950 and a serial number in one of the following ranges are being recalled: 17001000 to 17002661 or 46006022 to 46006524. The model and serial number are on a label affixed to the bottom of the waffle iron, along with "Vitantonio ... Made in U.S.A. ... UL 43G5 Listed".

Walt Disney World Resorts and specialty kitchen and department stores nationwide sold the waffle irons from October 1996 through January 1997 for about $60.

Consumers immediately should stop using the recalled waffle irons. Consumers should contact Disney at (800) 362-4695 anytime for instructions on returning the waffle iron to receive the $70 gift voucher.

Vitantonio made a number of other styles of Mickey waffle irons for Disney. None of these products are involved in this recall.

I've heard they used to sell the mini waffle maker, that's the one I'd prefer.

I'm always on the look out for either Mickey waffle maker, and have never seen them around recently.

Now that they've been spotted around WDW, I'll have to inquire when we're there in June. Even if they're sold out, I know you can order them thru the merchandise dept (the phone number is on the WDW park receipts).

Should anyone spot one, I'd love to know what it looks like and how much it costs.

Makes mini waffles of Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy and Goofy I think all at one time. It sells for 39.95. There were many sites when I googled Disney waffle maker and Mickey waffle maker. Happy shopping!

What??!!! I swear...we can't even eat a dang Mickey waffle anymore! Is it because of the coating on the iron?

I think so. It says:

WARNING: This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer, or birth defects or other reproductive harm.

This is just on the Disney Character/Princess Tasty Baker (5 characters or princess shapes). NOT the Mickey waffle irons.

I just saw the Mickey Mouse Tasty Baker on the Disney site and came on here. I can't believe that they're actually selling a product like this! They KNOW it causes cancer, birth defects and other reproductive harms and they're selling it to people????? I realize they have a warning, but still, I'm outraged right now!! Does this upset anyone else as much?
