does anyone have one of these? i was thinking about buying one for my son. i looked around on the internet -- they don't seem to get that good of reviews. also where did you get yours?? thanks

There was a thread about these a few months ago on the budget board. HSN was selling them for $9.99. They were sold out by the time I read the thread, but once those who did order them got them they had commented on what they thought. Some liked it, others didn't.

We bought ours from a local kitchen gadget store years ago. It looks like this one here . We don't use it a ton, but we've had it a long time and haven't ever had any problems with it.

hth

I have one and I really like it. I make Mickey waffles and pancakes (using ready-made batter). Mine is about 2 years old and still working well.

My mother saw one in Tuesday Morning a couple of years ago, thought of my Disney Nut kids, and bought it for me. I like it a lot. I don't have any problems with it and the waffles come out really cute.

I've had mine 10-12 years and no problems at all, except I can't make them fast enough for the eaters..........so we also have a regular waffle maker and I use both at the same time :goodvibes

I was able to get one of these when HSN was selling them. I think it works fine. It really makes more of a mickey pancake rather than a waffle. The only negative I have found is that it only makes one waffle at a time. I do think there is one out there that makes 4 smaller ones at a time, and if I had to chose, I would pick that one over the one I have.

Even with that negative, we like ours. We pull it out and use it ever couple of months. Or, if I have some free time I'll make a batch of waffles/pancakes and freeze them.

I agree, my DD love waffles but they did not like these much. They are cute, but it would be better if it made thicker waffles(belgium) or like the cute Mickey ones you get in Disney. There are not enough grooves like the standard ones, so they do seem more like pancake. I too, found the single ones are more like Pancake, and i would try for the 4 heads if you can find them.

I picked mine up new on ebay a few months back for $16. I love it, and made all my coworkers waffles.

We have one that makes 4 at a time. Picked it up in the parks a few years ago. I like the size of the waffles because it makes it easier to give out the portions to the kids that they will actually eat. Like mumom95, when I make them we usually have a few extras that I freeze for DD1 to have later (she loves Mickey!! :yay: )

One suggestion that I have is to cook them longer than the instructions recommend, otherwise they turn out more like pancakes and not crunchy waffles. My only complaint is that the cooking surfaces are not removable for cleaning but the not stick surface usually wipes up with a damp cloth.

Suddenly I'm hungry... :sad2:

My kids got me the 4-head Mickey Waffler for my birthday back in October (of course I picked it out - at Tuesday Morning - "would you like to buy this for Mommy for her birthday?") and we LOVE it! They would eat waffles every day - almost do b/c I make enough to freeze and then heat them up in the toaster. They eat them for snacks, lunch, breakfast.... all the time! It heats up quickly and evenly and they don't take long to cook. I'm very happy w/ it - gives me that "Disney happy" every time we use it.... :goodvibes

I've just been bought one for Christmas (the 4 waffle one) do you have any good waffle recipes or is the one in the book good? TIA :goodvibes

I got a 2-head Mickey Waffler at Tuesday Morning during a promotion for $l5. The grandkids love them and eats lots more since they are Mickey shaped.

They are just the right size.
