I love breakfast and especially love breakfast buffets, but only do them when on vacation. My next trip too WDW is an adult only trip and the wife has no desire to do anything early in the morning. Instead of going solo for a buffet at The Wave or Fort Wilderness would the bounty platter at POP suffice? Looks like a ton of food, but my main question is it the same "quality" of the other buffets/AYCE places? Some pictures show a biscuit and some do not, anyone know if it still comes with a biscuit?

I only have had the Bounty Platter at the Contempo Cafe. I don't feel like it was the same quality as what I got at one of the buffets or table service breakfasts. I mean, it was fine, but not the same.

What about a later breakfast buffet? On our August trip, we did 1900 PF about 10:30 am. The food was awesome and kept being freshly made. The characters were just about done when we finished eating but that was ok, we especially wanted to see the Mad Hatter which we did early upon arrival. That meal served as breakfast and lunch for our group. It was not a park day for us, we went mini-golfing afterwards so the timing was just perfect for our "relax" day. Just a thought!

Most restaurants service breakfast fairly late, 11:00 and some 11:30. Not sure if your wife would want to forgo lunch for breakfast food, but it could be an option.

Good to know, as I couldn't find breakfast cut off times in my quick search.

Just go yourself. You'll be doing something you enjoy, she 'll be doing something she enjoys. Everybody's happy.

I have eaten bounty platters and been to a few character/buffet breakfasts and it all tastes the same to me. Same crappy powdered scrambled eggs, same waffle (I mean, these are all made with the same "just add water" mix and baked on the same waffle irons property wide), same limp bacon, same breakfast potatoes, same dry biscuits.

The worst part about eating breakfast at Pop is that since you have to stand in line so many times, by the time you sit down, all your food is ice cold. But, buffets are similar. Nothing stays hot. Our best breakfast, where everything was hot and stayed that way, was Garden Grill.

If I was going somewhere solo for breakfast, I'd choose an a la carte place where your food will be made to order.

Have you considered having lunch at Grand Floridian Cafe? They do several breakfast items during the lunch hour. You can get breakfast food while your wife gets lunch food.

Had a couple of bounty platters at our resort QS, one waffle and one pancake. They were alright. Standard slightly greasy breakfast food. Prefer a fry up but Mickey waffles are fun.

Might end up being what I do, just honestly depends on when I wake up in the mornings. If super early I may head on over to The Wave if not grab a bounty platter.

4 more days and I cannot wait!
