Mickey toaster

Is there a trick to using the Mickey toaster? I'm thinking of returning it. It is supposed to toast a Mickey image but it just looks like a blob! You can't see a Mickey even if you squint and use your imagination! Needless to say the kids have no interest in it!

We have the Mickey Mornin' toaster. The face of Mickey Mouse is clearer when the toast is darker. The good and bad feature to the toaster, depending on your preference, is that it plays the "Mickey Mouse March" everytime the toast pops up. Personally, I love the toaster, but it can get on people's nerves if you make a lot of toast.

Thanks Dana49, we've tried the toast settings, burning didn't even help! LOL I think it may be defective. We love the Mickey march! LOL drowns out the kids squabbling in the morning

I want one of these but what would the Mickey Mouse March sound like at 3:30 in the morning when my hubby gets up for work and makes his toast?
